Hello from the rainforest! Whoops, I mean hello from Northeast Ohio in June 2019 (the new rainforest, it feels like)! We have had one of the rainiest Junes on record, but we have thankfully managed to dodge the rain for all of our weddings so far this season! Amy & Chris’ June wedding day was one of those days that it could’ve rained at any second, but we were spared & only a few raindrops fell while we were inside during their ceremony at Our Lady of Mount Carmel & then the rain held off until they were safely inside of DeYor for their reception! It was perfect!
Amy & Chris shared so many beautiful moments on their wedding day & we can’t wait to share our favorites with you on our blog today! We loved how Amy teared up all morning as she got ready to see her groom. And they shared a “no look First Look” at the church before Amy walked down the aisle; they exchanged letters & prayed together and it was a really special & emotional time as they prepared their hearts for the marriage ceremony. Amy got her wedding gown at Jacqueline’s Bridal in Poland. She teared up just looking at it that morning, which was the sweetest.Their floral decorations & bouquets were from C&C Ribbon. And if you read my blog or check out our Instagram, you know I’m a huge fan of Sin Pretty Beauty. Jen & her team are top tier wedding professionals. I loved Amy’s bridal look! She looked stunning and I overheard a guest say that she looked like a princess as she walked down the stairs outside of the church as everyone greeted the newlyweds with bubbles. Shoutout to these bridesmaids for being the best! They were funny, laid back, and gorgeous.Josh was with Chris & the guys at the Doubletree downtown as they got ready for the day. Chris’ dad owns a custom tailoring business in Cleveland so you know Chris & his guys were looking sharp on the wedding day! The initialed shirt for the win.I love touching moments between sisters on wedding days. Gets me every time! Oh hey model! Is this dusty blue amazing or what?! The dresses were super flattering and well-made, too. They were from JJsHouse.com and Amy said she was glad she chose them.Warning: grab your tissues for the next few photos!
Amy decided to keep the tears flowing after her no-look first look with her groom and share a first look with her dad. Then it was time to walk down the aisle! His smile got bigger and bigger as Amy came closer.Yay! They’re married! The stairs outside of Our Lady of Mount Carmel make for a classic bubble exit shot.We worked from a pre-made family formal list that our lovely bride filled in for us online before her wedding day & the family photos went smoothly & quickly. Everyone was wonderful. Then it was time for some bridal party photos at bride & groom portraits at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. There were a ton of bridal parties and weddings there that day and we saw a few photographer friends.
I can’t get over these beauties! The guys looked handsome, too.Sisters! Personalized tuxes for everyone. So boss. This shot was one that probably wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Jen from Carzoo Video wanting to go down on that path. It was pretty dark down there and we probably wouldn’t have ventured over there if she hadn’t suggested it. But then I saw that little spot in the midst of the blooming tree and that was that. I love it! Amy said she originally envisioned herself as a bride in a simple satin dress. Then she tried this on at her mom’s suggestion even though she thought it was a waste of time to try on something she’d never want to wear. And here we are. . . she was STUNNING in this detailed gown. Jacqueline’s Bridal added the dainty lace sleeves & that detail truly put this wedding gown over the top in terms of gorgeousness. Amy wore it beautifully. Sorry, but not sorry for the overshare of bridal portraits. We LOVED having so much time to take pretty photos of Amy! DeYor is like nowhere else when it comes to ornate detail & a unique atmosphere for weddings. Everything came together beautifully with help from Socially Artistic wedding planner Brenda, linens and chair covers and decor from I Do So You Don’t Have To, and coordinating by Leslie from DeYor. It takes teamwork to make the dream work!
The cake was crafted by Jimmy’s Italian Specialties, which was a first for us. Just going on their website to link to them made me hungry, though, soooooo maybe a trip there is in order? haha! Really pretty cake! We had time for some romantic portraits with these two newly married folks inside of the opulence of DeYor before the festivities began. And then it was time for their grand entrance. And talk about a grand entrance! DeYor definitely delivers on that account! Amy’s dad’s opening remarks were sweet. Her parents are so proud of her and they are very happy to welcome Chris to the family.Halfway through their first dance, Chris performed with the band. It was awesome! And then Amy made us all cry again as she danced with her dad.Chris & his mom were super sweet. And then the dance floor was open and ready for the party! The Element sounded great! Bouquet time! What a beautiful & fun first day of marriage for Amy & Chris! Congratulations, you two! We wish you the very best and most amazing marriage! Have a blast on your honeymoon!
