We’re so happy to be sharing Kristen & Mike’s wedding with you all today! These two are so much fun together. They bust out into goofy dances, giggle all the time, love to golf together any chance they get, are fun-lovingly competitive with one another, have both been welcomed into one another’s families with open arms, and are two of the most genuinely kind hearted, loving individuals we’ve met. That they’re now married is a blessing to the world. . . they’re going to do big things as a married couple- we can just tell! Their wedding ceremony was outside at The Lake Club on a beautiful September Saturday with blue skies for miles. When we were going back through the images from their wedding day, I told Josh that the clouds that day looked like fake clouds that you see when you watch a cartoon; it was just a perfect day! We’re honored we got to be part of it! Kristen chose an Allure wedding dress from Henri’s Cloud Nine in Minerva, Ohio. This dress was GORGEOUS and she looked AMAZING!And this gorgeous bracelet was a gift from her groom.Blooming Crazy Flowers truly outdid themselves for Kristen’s and Mike’s wedding! The flowers were stunning and vibrant and we loved the shape of her bridal bouquet. These ladies were beautiful and fun. They even put up with me being a bit more authoritative than I like to be simply due to a time crunch with photos in between the ceremony & reception. They were all so wonderful to work with & looked absolutely fabulous in their dresses! And Icon Studio in Poland did Kristen’s hair & makeup, by the way! I heard people gushing about her hair all day long! Just so much beauty & good vibes all day long with these bridesmaids & bride! Kristen’s brand new sister-in-law Makenzie was such a sweetheart. Kristen’s brother got married just a few weeks ago & we’re pretty sure Kristen’s mom & dad should win an award for how gracefully & patiently & wonderfully they handled all of the busy-ness that having their two children’s weddings within 3 weeks of one another brought to their lives. Both of these families were gracious & kind. We’re so thankful for the great people we get to meet through this business! Kristen slayed all day. She is a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Mike is a blessed husband to have her in his life. This first look with the bridesmaids was super cute. Okay, this brother & sister ring bearer & flower girl duo was too cute! Thumbs up for a great job walking down the aisle! And then the groom saw his bride. She was beaming and effervescent. Joyful brides are the best brides! Yup! We love The Lake Club! That view for an outdoor ceremony is hard to beat! Their personal vows were funny, heartfelt, emotional, and perfect. They even made their officiant cry.On Kristen & Mike’s Wedding Info Form (an online form we send to our couples before their big day to help keep us completely organized & on-the-ball for the wedding day), she wrote that they all love golf & it’s one of the things that brought Kristen & Mike close very early on in their relationship. So they brought some clubs & we incorporated them into a few fun bridal party shots.Seriously loving this combination of bridesmaids’ dresses with those flowers! Not to mention these great smiles. Can you even?! Such a wow factor with that dress, those flowers, her hair, the earrings . . . just everything! One of Kristen’s friends posted on Instagram that Barbie married Ken and we cannot argue with that observation. Such a great looking couple! That light! Those smiles! Their sweet way of holding hands. I could gush all day.We loved their gold & green reception details. And wedding cakes by Bake Me Treats never disappoint! It’s a Party in the U.S.A! We were so glad we got to sneak outside & take some portraits with the newlyweds during twilight. Josh shot with the off-camera flash for a more dynamic look & I used the last bit of ambient light available with our amazing 85 mm f/1.4. We love that lens! And these two looked beautiful & so darn happy. Then the rest of the night was a party with all of Kristen & Mike’s favorite people. So much fun! Congratulations again, Kristen & Mike! We truly enjoyed getting to know you two as a couple & can’t wait to see what’s in store for your marriage! Thank you to all of your amazing friends & family for making the day wonderful, as well as The Lake Club for always being awesome! What a special day & the start to what’s sure to be a phenomenal love story for decades to come!
