We are often in awe that we get to be surrounded by such joy, love, and beauty almost every weekend! Jaclyn & Wally got married at The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake this past weekend & we were the lucky ones to get to photograph the first day of their beautiful marriage. These two absolutely adore one another. The way that they look at each other and can’t help but smile is truly a phenomenal thing to get to witness. They are so happy. Their wedding day was FULL of smiles, laughter, and joy. The setting at The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake is idyllic & serene. We absolutely love what Annie & Ed have done with their beautiful property. It truly is a stunning wedding venue! Jaclyn & Wally, congratulations again & welcome to the married club! Thank you both again so much for trusting us with the memories of your wedding day! At the beginning of the day, Josh started out with Wally & the guys at Wally’s parents’ home in Sharon. They were all enjoying their time hanging out & Wally got to open his gift from his bride. Wally was all smiles.Wally was looking fresh & dapper in his Rondinelli Tuxedo! All of the groomsmen looked great. You won’t even believe the amazingness of this- Jaclyn wore her mother’s wedding dress. Her seamstress was Kiley Cozza. The dress was just like when her mother wore it except her mother’s had long sleeves. I love how special it is & how much sentiment is involved with a bride wearing her mama’s dress! Butz Flowers did a great job with the bouquets for the bride & bridesmaids, as well as the boutonnieres. And Lorraine’s Hair Salon came on location to do beautiful updos for all of the ladies.Icon Studio from Poland came on location to The Gathering Place to do makeup for everyone. Jaclyn was overwhelmed with happiness & so surprised when she opened her gift from Wally. It was very thoughtful & precious. When Jaclyn put on her wedding gown, it was a breathtaking moment. She looked stunning, regal, gorgeous, beautiful, and just wait until you see Wally’s reaction as she walked down the aisle. This entire family is so close & full of love. We absolutely LOVED being around them & getting to know them. We photographed Jaclyn’s twin sister’s wedding back in October & we couldn’t even wait to get to photograph Jaclyn’s big day because this is a family brimming with love, affection, and adoration. They’re just one of those families that you want to be around; our spirits were lifted by witnessing them all together. These ladies! I can’t even with how gorgeous & genuinely kind they are. We have THE BEST brides! Of course, the Dog of Honor Coco had to sneak in a few photos. This little lady is 12 years old & is definitely part of the family so she got to be part of the big day!Their parents did such a great job raising these amazing women. They are all so smart, fun, happy, and beautiful. These ladies are magic! They all caught butterflies. hehe. The last time we photographed a wedding at The Gathering Place, this gorgeous gazebo ceremony spot wasn’t built yet, but the plans were in motion. We’re so excited we got to go back & that Jaclyn & Wally had such a beautiful day to get married there! Jac & Wally met at a winery so their wedding was vineyard-inspired in a lot of ways as a nod to how they met. So sweet.Wally couldn’t hold back his tears as he saw Jac & her dad walk down the aisle.Jaclyn’s grandmother’s reading was really emotional & one of my favorite parts of the whole wedding day. They chose a wine mixing ceremony to symbolize their union as husband and wife.Great looking group! Darlene from I Do So You Don’t Have To was in charge of reception decor & day-of coordinating. She did a lovely job with the space & I loved the blush, gold, and greenery. This was also one of our favorite parts of the decor. Their families both have long histories of successful & loving marriages that Jaclyn & Wally can use as examples to form their lifelong love story.Food Glorious Food made the pretty wedding cake.We loved all of the toasts! Joslyn & Jaclyn’s story is definitely touching & all of their family members refer to them as their miracle babies. Wally’s brother’s toast was fun, too.And Mia’s should probably be a YouTube sensation sometime soon. She had the DJ help & she sang her toast to the tune of a few popular songs. It was super cute & funny.
Jaclyn’s dad got to share a special dance with his oldest (by three minutes) daughter. And Wally’s mom got to dance with her oldest son. Then these two sweethearts made everyone in the place cry as they danced their own special dance to celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary. . . yes, it was that same day. These are Jaclyn’s grandparents & the love between them is evident. What a true love story! It’s real candid emotional moments like these on wedding days that stop us in our tracks. It truly is a privilege to be trusted with these once-in-a-lifetime memories! We snuck these two away during golden hour for some bride & groom portraits by the lake.So beautiful, Jaclyn! And then it started to rain. These two are THE cutest! Wally did this one all on his own without any prompting from us. LOVE it!The evening was so much fun. Everyone danced. Magic Moments DJ spun the jams & the guests had a blast. What a romantic, gorgeous, amazing celebration of what is sure to be a wonderful lifelong journey of love! Thank you a million times, Jaclyn & Wally! We’re so happy we got to photograph your Best Day Ever! We wish you many, many decades of love & happiness and all of the inspiration you can take from all of the amazing marriages that surround you both! And a special thank you & all the hugs to Annie at The Gathering Place because she’s just amazing & wonderful!
