We have such a lovely, cheerful, Spring engagement session in Daffodil Meadow in Mill Creek Park for you today on the blog! First, we can’t even take how funny, witty, and cute Stephanie & Michael are. . . but then add Miss Olivia, their dog, to the equation and it’s a whole ‘nother level of adorable! She’s spunky & even had to go to Raging Rover Obedience class- LOL! But seriously. . . look at her little face! Stephanie & Michael adore one another (& Olivia) and photographing this engagement session was so much fun & full of so many laughs. Oh, and we also got hit by 60 mph winds & whipped in the face with flying flower petals from the magnolia trees. We were definitely keeping it interesting for this one! Never a dull moment in Youngstown.haha! This one cracked us up. Olivia is a blurry ball of fur because she was pulling so hard on the leash. Seriously, that girl is a force to be reckoned with. . . all 6 pounds of fluff. But she sat pretty for a string cheese bribe. Hey, we’re not above it!Gosh, don’t you just love Spring?! Stephanie is beautiful! Their easy, comfortable charm together comes from being a couple for 10 years. Yes, 10! And we’re so excited to get to be the ones to photograph their wedding in October at the Old Union Bank Building in downtown Warren! We’re really grateful Spring finally decided to join us here in Ohio. . . we were truly starting to wonder if Winter 2017-18 was the Winter that would never end.
And this is about the time during the session when we looked at the sky & noticed it was VERY, very dark. Then the wind kicked up. Then we jogged to our cars. Then on the way to our second location a few minutes away by car, a tree branch came crashing down inches from us! It was intense. I will admit that I told Josh we should just call it, give up, and reconvene another day. He checked out the radar on his phone (as he often does since he tries to be meteorologist for all of our sessions & weddings) and told me to have faith. . . that the sun was going to come back out soon. We waited in the car for a bit & lo & behold. . . SUNSHINE. Go, Josh, go! And aren’t they the cutest all dressed up?!We’re so glad these two met at Hiram in a van down by the river. We’re halfway kidding on that last one. They did meet as Hiram students their freshman year. And they WERE in a van. We’re not sure if it was down by the river, though. They were on their way to elementary school tutoring. Michael said no thanks to teaching after that, but he said heck yes to dating Stephanie. Now she’s a teacher & he’s a lawyer & they’ve been together ever since freshman year of college. . . even though their lives took them all sorts of places in between. They’ve always stuck together.Stephanie, you rocked that pose out, girl. ha! This was totally a joke, but we honestly love the photo because it shows how silly these two can be & that they love to laugh a lot.Michael was not to be outdone in sexy posing. hahaha! So these two adorable people make a stunning couple, don’t they?! They warned us ahead of time that they are awkward in photos & one of their friends even told them that he gave up trying to get a cute photo of them together. We said no way in heck is that true & challenge accepted- not only one, but many cute photos WILL happen! We think the session was a whopping success & we’re so glad we got to hang out with them & take some pretty Spring engagement photos & there is NOTHING awkward about them together. Their love is beautiful. We can’t wait for the wedding day!
