We had such an amazing Pittsburgh engagement session with Dina & Nick! We got to check out a new spot we’ve never been to before, which was really fun & we also got to revisit a couple of iconic Pittsburgh places that we love. Strolling through the city with these two was so much fun & we got to learn a lot more about them as a couple. We loved hearing their proposal story & they both had us cracking up & saying “awwww” all night. Dina is a beauty! There were a few memorable moments in this alley during the engagement session, but the best thing of all is how these two laugh together. And those smiles are the best! Can’t wait to see these two all fancy for their wedding day in September! And I have to give a shout out to Jen at The Makeup Boutique because she always does such a fabulous job with makeup! She prettied Dina up that day & WOW!I love this so much! Dina, you are so gorge! They did a great job of acting like they weren’t chilly. Cozying up helps! Winter engagement sessions aren’t for the weak lol. And these two love going to hockey games together so they had to represent for a few photos. They’re such a fun couple! That light, tho! What’s a Pittsburgh engagement session without a beautiful skyline photo complete with those iconic yellow bridges? And we got to have even more skyline fun with the Mount Washington shots!Oh, and we have to share their proposal story here because it’s too good not to! Nick had the ring and he had a plan. But he wanted to ask Dina’s father’s blessing first because he knew Dina (and her parents) would appreciate it. It was a Sunday. They both laugh now & say it was a traditional Italian family Sunday full of TONS of food with Dina’s whole family there. When Nick pulled Dina’s father to the side & asked for his blessing, he received an answer that he probably should’ve been ready for knowing Dina’s dad. They both crack up about the whole thing now. As soon as Nick asked, Dina’s dad answered, “Yes, it’s about time! You have the ring, right? You’re doing this HERE and NOW. No more waiting. The whole family is here.” (Paraphrasing, of course). How could Nick say no to that? So he got down on one knee surrounded by Dina’s family members & asked her the question that had been years in the making. There are adorable photos of the exact moment that it all happened & my favorite part of those photos HAS to be Dina’s little grandmother in the background with the most excited & surprised look of shock on her face. So.Dang.Perfect! We love that they have that moment captured & future generations can all enjoy it! Dina & Nick, you two are absolutely amazing together & we’re really looking forward to your wedding day and capturing even more wonderful memories that you’ll cherish for years to come!
