I wish you could see how excited I am to get to share these engagement photos with you on our blog today! But just trust when I say that I’m super duper fantastically pumped about this apple orchard engagement session with one of my favorite couples on the planet! Natalyn is so many things to our family- a friend, a babysitter, someone who keeps us up-to-date on the latest slang that the cool kids use (lol!), an encourager, and now one of our brides! We’ve known her for many years & got to meet Joe through her. We have gotten to know them as one of the sweetest & best couples around. They have done the long distance thing for a few years now & I truly admire them for how they find ways to see each other as often as possible & when they can’t be together physically, they make up for it in creative ways. Thankfully today’s technology allows them to FaceTime, Snapchat, & other fun things, but they’re even so cute as to send each other snail mail from time to time. How stinkin’ adorable & perfect is that?! We’re really happy we get to be part of their wedding day in Summer 2018! The apple orchard was such a wonderful place for their engagement session because they both enjoy doing all the Fall things together- pumpkin carving, apple picking, & generally just being awesome together in Fall weather wearing cute layers. Yes to all of the above! Since their wedding day is in the Summer, it was great to get some pretty photos in a different season that they enjoy. The weather on the day of their engagement session was so iffy, but we were SOOOO glad it all worked out since Joe was coming home from Columbus for the session & wouldn’t be able to make it back to the area for awhile. The sun even made an appearance, which was really surprising since it was really cloudy & even rainy that day.We just adore these two together & how sweet & romantic they are.Natalyn is a cute & smiley person, but no one in the world makes her smile as much as Joe does.Boots on point! Boots are definitely one of the reasons Fall engagement sessions rock!
The changing leaves, the apple trees, the overcast sky, the soft way they’re holding hands & looking into each other’s eyes- yup! This is what it’s all about!Laughter really is the best medicine. Whoever said it knew what they were talking about. We love this verse & Natalyn says this sign may even make an appearance in wedding decor next year so yay!Oh my goodness, this little pumpkin was just perfect. And her ring! We love everything about it! Good job, Joe!Ahhh, this makes me so happy! Natalyn & Joe spend a lot of time together at the lake. It’s where he proposed & it’s where they’ll be getting married! The evening he proposed, there was a beautiful sunset across the lake & we’re really praying for that on the evening of their wedding day, too! Funny enough, Natalyn’s brother just happened to be fishing at the lake on the night that Joe proposed to Natalyn, which is cute since Natalyn & her brother Clay are close. We love that the lake has been such a huge part of their story & they get to get married there. It’s going to be amazing! If you find someone with whom you can laugh like this, hold on & never let them go.Natalyn killin’ it with the signage! We love love love that Natalyn & Joe value their MARRIAGE above all throughout this whole wedding planning process! They are preparing for the long haul above all else, which is exactly how it should be. We absolutely love that about them! And Natalyn told us that this tippy toes shoe shot is their signature move so we had to join in on that fun & we can’t wait to get to recreate it in pretty wedding clothes! Natalyn & Joe, we love you guys lots & are so excited to see what the future holds & to get to build a legacy through photographs of the first day of your lifelong marriage!
