We are smiling ear to ear as we retouch these photos & blog this wedding day! It is beautifully inspiring the way these two love one another & being part of their wedding day as their photographers was truly a joy & so much fun! We laughed, we cried, and we definitely didn’t stop smiling. We dare you to read this blog post & look at these images without smiling. Their story is a unique & adorable one and we’re so excited to see the chapters they write as they continue down their path in life & in marriage. We can’t wait for you to see all of the tear-worthy & joyful moments of Krisi & Josh’s day! Congratulations, you two!
I started off the day at The Body Shoppe 678 in East Palestine with the ladies. They were so much fun to hang out with & that salon always makes me feel nostalgic because that’s where my bridesmaids & I got ready on Josh’s & my wedding day in 2010! The groom is a firefighter & this was Kristi’s fun idea. I adore how supportive Kristi’s friends are. They were up to do anything to help that day & definitely went above & beyond as amazing bridesmaids.Josh (my husband, not to be confused with Josh the groom) was with the groom & his groomsmen as they prepared for the big day.Okay, Kristi’s first look with her dad. . . cue the tears! This ring bearer & flower girl were show-stoppers. So stinkin’ cute! And then Josh saw Kristi.Their wedding ceremony was full of special & sentimental touches & included Kristi’s three beautiful children, as they became a family with Josh that day. We loved that it was not only about Kristi & Josh getting married, but about the five of them becoming a family officially. Those kids are surely loved beyond measure.Their personal vows were perfect & had so many people crying and laughing.Kristi’s daughter Kati got to tie the knot around these two.Oh my gosh, they are adorable together. They have such a great sense of humor about how they met, too. If you can even believe it, Kristi babysat Josh & his little brother when they were young. Then they re-met decades later & the rest is history. To hear them tell that story & how they put two-and-two together to remember that she used to babysit him is hilarious. They are a ton of fun! Then, of course, we had to take some photos with the firetruck! And we got to recreate one of their engagement photos all fancy in their wedding attire. This was the kids’ reaction just about every time Kristi & Josh kissed. hahaha! Then it was time for reception fun at the Timberhouse at Rolling Acres in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania! We loved getting to photograph this reception there! It was our first time there & everything was fantastic! I’m not quite sure how they can be this cute, but they really, really are. It was a blast shooting their Just Married portraits because they oozed happiness the entire time! ha! Love this so much! Kristi, you are stunning. Kretchmar’s Bakery made the wedding cake & cupcakes. And, of course, they had to have a Penguin’s groom’s cake! If you saw their engagement photos, you know their love for the Pens! And a hockey cake topper. So good!
Their first dance as husband and wife was romantic & beautiful! And they shared some really special dances with their parents. And with that, the dance floor was open & the party was a blast! Kristi & Josh, thank you both so much for allowing us to share in this important day with you both & your families! We loved getting to know you both better & wish you the very best in your lives together as husband and wife! Cheers!
