Snowy Engagement Session in Northeast Ohio

Snowy engagement photos are one of our favorite parts of being Northeast Ohio photographers! When we started this business in 2011 we probably would’ve told you we were ALL about the lush greens of Summer & those vibrant colors of Fall, but now we probably couldn’t even choose a favorite if we tried! All of the seasons in Ohio are GORGEOUS for engagement photos and weddings! Valerie & Nick are so much fun to be around. We loved traipsing through the snowy hills of her parents’ property together & taking pretty photos, especially since that’s where their wedding will be this Summer. She showed us all of the best locations & they got to show us the spot where they got engaged & the spot where they’ll get married. It was perfect & we can’t wait to see how beautiful the lake will look this Summer as they say, “I do!” We love backyard weddings so much! We also enjoyed getting to hear cute stories from when Valerie & her siblings were growing up & having fun exploring the woods & hills surrounding their childhood home. These two! They are so adorable together.And, my goodness, Valerie is stunning! That smile! We definitely want to get our Christmas tree from her parents this year! These pine trees lining the top of the hill up from the house are perfect!Light bubbles through evergreens are magical.Nick & Valerie ran into each other quite a few times at Ohio State. They had a lot of mutual friends. One of their earliest encounters was at a Halloween party. And then thankfully their paths crossed again when the timing was right. The light! The holly tree! Those red boots. There’s too much to love about this shot. We love shooting somewhere that’s special to our couples! And this place is certainly special to these two. Valerie grew up here & now she can add deliriously happy memories of Nick to her many childhood memories she already has here. He proposed to her by the lake on the property & that’s where they’ll be getting married this July. We presume it’ll be a bit warmer & more verdant in July for the wedding than it was in January for the engagement session. ha!Seriously. They are the cutest.And the perfect way to warm up after being out in the cold. . . a bonfire! Oh, and don’t forget the hot cocoa!And one more fun way to get the blood pumpin’- chasing each other around having a snowball fight! They were not holding back. Gotta love that.Direct hit!
