We weren’t kidding you guys when we said there’d be a TON of engagement sessions on the blog these next couple of weeks! Next up is Kenzie & Sam, and, well, they’re adorable & so much fun together! They both went to the same high school, but they didn’t date until college. And since they were at different colleges, they did the long distance thing. We always feel like a new relationship that can make it through the challenges that being long distance brings definitely has strong roots. And when we’re around Kenzie & Sam, we can tell they have a very close connection. They laugh, they joke, and they’re really comfortable together. We met them for their engagement session at North Chagrin Reservation & it was beautiful! Usually by now, a lot more leaves have changed colors, but even when the leaves are just beginning to change, we can make the photos have that Autumn vibe! And another fun thing about the date that we took their engagement photos is that it was exactly one year from their wedding date!
Love this one! Snuggles & genuine laughter for the win! We absolutely adore shooting engagement sessions! It’s the first time we get to see how each couple interacts, figure out what makes them most comfortable in front of the camera, and hang out in a laid back and fun environment with the bride & groom-to-be! Oh my goodness, they are a stunning couple! Those smiles just warm your heart! Sorry for being corny, but it’s just true!
I stood in some poison ivy to get this shot. ha!And this is Home Sweet Home for Kenzie & Sam and their two sweet pups, Meeko & Ben! When we first met with these two about photographing their wedding, they were in the (sometimes stressful, but always exciting) process of searching for the perfect home. And we’re beyond happy for them that they found such a lovely spot to make their own!Of course, they couldn’t resist having the two little guys in some of their engagement photos! We love dogs & always get excited to have them join us for photos! We’ll take credit for snapping this shot, but the location was Kenzie & Sam’s idea & we love it! This is one of their favorite spots so they wanted to incorporate it into their photos somehow. We thought this was perfect. This was our first time in Willoughby & we loved it! It’s such a cute town! Oh, and we didn’t tell you about their proposal story yet. He took her to a spot that is one of their favorites in Mill Creek Park near Lake Newport. She was so surprised and caught off-guard when he popped the question that she actually said out loud, “Shut up.” hahaha! Of course, at some point she did say yes because here we are! We’re so happy for you, Kenzie & Sam, and we know your wedding day is going to be tons of fun! Thanks again for being sweet to hang with & for choosing us to photograph the first day of your forever together! Cheers to your engagement, a new home, and all of the puppy cuddles!
