I can’t describe how happy I am that we get to share Emily & Bryan’s wedding photos with you today on the blog! Why? Because Emily & Bryan RADIATED joy on their wedding day. I challenge you to attempt to look at these photos without a cheesy grin on your face. . . go ahead, just try it! Their wedding ceremony took place in Boardman at St. James Chapel in Boardman Park & their beautiful reception was spectacularly uplighted by Damon from D and R Audio at the beautiful Avion on the Water in Canfield. The flowers (by Dick Adgate) were stunning, as well. Everything about this day came together beautifully; the most special part of the day, though, was the way that Emily & Bryan looked at one another during the wedding ceremony & how much fun they had the entire day. One of my other favorite parts of the day happened as their adorable son, Owen, walked down the aisle as the ring bearer . . . but I’ll save that for later; words can’t do the moment justice. 🙂
I met Emily & her bridesmaids at The Salon Team in Austintown, where she happens to be a fabulous stylist! I actually met Emily for the first time at The Salon Team during a wedding we shot last summer. While that wedding party was being beautified by Emily, Danielle, and the other talented ladies at The Salon Team, Emily told me she was getting married in 2014 and asked for my card. She also went to beauty school with my younger sister, Angie. I love little connections like that- the six degrees of separation theory is real! And I’m so glad for that because we got to photograph her & Bryan’s beautiful day! Emily was all smiles at the salon. Kara Miller did her & her bridesmaids’ makeup- she’s so energetic, fun, and talented!
Emily, you’re gorgeous!
While I was at the salon with the ladies, Josh was at Bryan’s place with the guys.
We loved the guys’ Chuck Taylors! These are the custom-designed Chucks that Bryan had designed & wore for their engagement session.
The Episcopal Church in Boardman Park is such a quintessential wedding chapel. It looks especially stunning under a clear blue sky! Emily & Bryan’s day was nothing short of a perfect weather day for an April wedding!
Her nieces were her flower girls. This was such a sweet moment. Big sister (left) was beyond excited for her little sister to receive her necklace from Aunt Emily.
Emily would’ve looked stunning in a variety of gown styles, but this one was perfect for her.
Her veil was her “something borrowed” from her bridesmaid Julianne & it coordinated so well with Emily’s loveliness.Â
Here’s the bride & groom’s son, Owen: a.k.a. the most adorable and ornery looking ring bearer ever!
His pants fell down during his jaunt down the aisle. 😀
Everyone got a kick out of it. The flower girls’ pink Chucks were also a hit.
Violet picked up the petals that big sister Grace had laid down. 🙂 So sweet.
The soon-to-be Mrs. Kobo & her daddy:
Bryan’s goofiness makes Emily laugh every day.Â
Their first kiss as husband and wife was long & steamy.Â
Happiest people on the planet?! I think so!
A few organized & quick family formals in the church using our pre-made list that we went over with Emily & Bryan pre-wedding day & we were good to go with the rest of the day & fun!
At Emily & Bryan’s request, we recreated some of the poses from their engagement session.
Great looking wedding party! Don’t you LOVE the turquoise with bright pink?!
These photos are fun! Just a friendly tip/FYI: we’ll be able to do fun photos with your bridal party like this if you want them as long as you either a). do a first look & take photos prior to the ceremony or b). have plenty of time in between your ceremony & reception. We really like to assist our couples in planning their wedding day timelines to get the most out of their day, get the best photos, and make everything wonderful for their guests. Â We’ll gladly share tips and our expertise that we’ve garnered over the past few years and 50+ weddings we’ve photographed. We love to help!
Then we released the wedding party back to the stretch Navigator & these two got to snuggle & enjoy time just the two of them (and us…hehe) as newlyweds!Â
B-E-A-utiful!Â
Fellows Riverside Garden at Mill Creek Park is blooming! And the light was pretty! And Emily & Bryan were lookin’ great!
Another little recreation of a shot from their engagement session:
Emily’s graphic designer friend Mary designed her invitations, programs, and place cards. She’s a talented lady!
Dick Adgate did a beautiful job with the centerpieces.
Clarencedale Cake made the wedding cake.
The number one thing to look at in the following cake cutting photos is, of course, the fun and love between Emily & Bryan, but paying attention to the pretty uplighting that changes colors is also fun. 🙂
This was a first. Eyelashes were lost in the cake smash.
They’re still in love. Good! 🙂
They danced to Blue October’s “Calling You.” They adore Blue October & go to their shows every time they come to town.
Emily & her dad enjoyed a dance together.
Bryan and his mom danced together, too.
Such an “awwwwwww” moment:
We stole them away for three minutes when the light was way too pretty outside by the lake to pass up!
Violet’s Chucks on the dance floor ♥
Then the fun continued until the last song & people danced the night away!
Bryan stole the bouquet from Emily & took the initiative to toss it.
Emily returned the favor with the garter.
Moe was pretty excited to have caught it.
DJ Damon told Moe & Kate that the newlyweds would enjoy a few years of happy marriage for every inch Moe placed the garter above Kate’s knees. Kate laughed and said, “I have a lot of inches of leg!”
These two are so cute! It’s one of Emily’s bridesmaids & her husband. 🙂
Emily’s parents:
These two won the anniversary dance.
Then THIS happened. We shared on our Facebook page that Emily & her friends danced to “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls & they knew the whole dance! Amazing.
Their friends and family surrounded them with love during the last song of the reception.
Bryan & Emily, we LOVED getting to know you both and hanging out with you on your wedding day! We feel honored to have been chosen to capture the memories on your wedding day & we wish you so much happiness, lots of love, Blue October concerts, and fun with Owen! You two are such a perfect match.
