Lauren & Pat are MARRIED! And we got to photograph the joyful occasion this past Saturday! Their St. Charles ceremony and Drake’s Landing reception were both perfect. Lauren & Pat are two of the kindest, most level-headed, funniest, sweetest people and they’re also both self-proclaimed weirdos. I mentioned this when I blogged their engagement session, but I have to talk about it again because I love it- when they first started dating they realized that (and I quote) “their weirds match.” I just love that & it reminds me so much of the Dr. Seuss quote about living together in mutual weirdness with the one you love. If you can’t be your true weird self with your spouse, you’re doing it wrong! Lauren & Pat are doing it right & their wedding day was evidence of that. The way that they look at each other, the way Pat lit up as Lauren walked down the aisle, the way that they were surrounded by hundreds of loving and supportive family members & friends. . . it was all magical.I started the day off with this amazing group of women & they were great to hang out with! They got their hair done by Jen & Friends and their makeup done by Gianna Allegretto. They all looked fabulous!Lauren was a vision in her Jacqueline’s Bridal dress. Her mom said that more than one person told her “She is wearing that dress, the dress is not wearing her.” And I completely agree! She rocked that dress! It was “her.”She & her mom shared a tear-inducing moment as her mom gifted her Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue. The something new was a Mother-Daughter bracelet with hearts. It makes my mama heart so happy to see mother-daughter duos who love one another so much.Josh was, of course, with Pat & the guys as they got ready for the ceremony at St. Charles.Shout out to Blooming Crazy for doing an amazing job with the flowers! They did it! I loved this moment with all of the guests being paparazzi and snapping all of the photos they possibly could of the gorgeous bride. I think it’s really awesome getting to see how much people love one another & want to remember these moments. In between the ceremony and the reception, we ventured to Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park for bridal party & bride and groom photos. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! That purple was poppin’! Such a great color & all of those ladies rocked it.We loved hanging out with these two. They have the best senses of humor & definitely feed off of each other in that department. They’re the perfect mixture of not taking life too seriously while also realizing what truly matters and making sure they give all they have to each other.
Stun.Ning! This was Pat’s idea & it turned out beautiful. I love when grooms have input!Drake’s Landing was looking inviting & romantic. Blooming Crazy did a great job & the staff at Drake’s is wonderful.Their Youngstown Cookie Table was really an entire cookie room. Epic. And their hor devours were phenomenal thanks to the amazing Lariccia’s Italian Marketplace!10/10!And Kim’s Confections made such an adorable wedding cake.Their celebration was fun & the dance floor was bumpin all night. The Music Man kept everyone moving & having fun!And a sparkler sendoff was the perfect way to end such an amazing day!Lauren & Pat, we thank you two so very much for sharing your wedding day with us & choosing us as your wedding photographers! We’ve loved getting to know you both & wish you the best in your marriage. Cheers to a lifetime of love, laughter, and being weird!
