Thank you to all of our amazing clients for your continued support & love! We love what we do because we love you all! We are so excited to share our new About Us video with you so you can hopefully get just a small glimpse into the WHY behind our wedding photography business.
J- It’s her smile and the way her golden eyes sparkle in the setting sun as she tightly squeezes my hand we walk down this path we dreamed of for many years that makes me feel thankful.
D – I’m blessed to know that I married someone who’ll hug me & tell me I’m pretty (and mean it) when I feel like a mess. I can’t describe how much joy I find in our every day, our seemingly mundane, our perfectly imperfect daily lives together.
J – The way she eats her ice cream with a fork, her peculiar manner of cutting her steak, and the quirky way she holds her sandwich are all things that make her unique and lovable.
D – His giggle is the happiest sound. We feel like goofy little kids most of the time when we’re together.
J – She is passionate and driven, maybe a bit stubborn. But, it is all for a reason… to better herself, to make our relationship stronger, and to strive to be the best mother she can be.
D – He is my safe place, my comfort, and my favorite cuddle partner. I love the way we can communicate just by exchanging a look sometimes. I’m so grateful I married someone who’ll bust into a spontaneous Taylor Swift dance party in our kitchen with me and our beautiful babies.
J – Our holding Tenley and Kenton on our hips- watering & weeding the garden
D – Trying our best to keep the floor (and all the surfaces in the house, let’s be real) free of that awful substance known as pug hair
J – Working side-by-side- building this life in the country together
D – My hand in yours fitting comfortably and swinging along as we walk together toward the sunset, weeds tickling our shins as we navigate the trails through our back field laughing about something silly our daughter said,
J – Her windswept blonde hair trailing behind her as she excitedly runs along chasing after fireflies
D – Our realness together- our knowing one another more deeply & fully than we could ever have imagined knowing another person before we met
J – The irresistible way Kenton’s cheeks squish as we both kiss him at the same time- the fact that we are nothing extraordinary
D – Just a family of four trying our best to live our truth & our best life even through the difficult stuff that comes along that, in my mind, makes us our own little kind of special. . . not to the outside world, but, of course, that’s not important.
J- What’s important is legacy. The love we show to one another, to our children, & to the other people God brings into our lives. And that’s one of the reasons we feel so passionately about photographing weddings.
D- Though we often don’t call them weddings. To us, they’re the first day of a couple’s marriage. And marriage is forever. So that word- “legacy”- that is significant to us. Josh and I have the privilege of helping couples build a legacy.
J- We’re Menning Photographic- a husband & wife wedding photography team for joyful couples who believe in the beauty of marriage.
