Spring! We’re so happy it’s here! Fresh blooms, beautiful sunshine, bluebells in Poland Woods, blossoming trees, warmer temps (!!!), and playing outside! There’s no better & more refreshing feeling than that! We got to hang out with Megan & Ryan in Boardman Park, which is a spot where they’ve shared so much in their decade-long relationship. Yes, they’ve been together more than 10 years (it’ll be 11 by the time their wedding rolls around)! You’ll even get to see the re-creation of their first dance photo from sophomore year of high school later in this blog post. I mean. . . how cute is that?! They’ve known each other since they were kids and have been through so much together. Now they get to pledge forever together in front of their family & friends in January & we get to be the ones to photograph the celebration! But first, it was time for their engagement session & they knew they wanted to include their fur-friends Spencer & Penelope (Penny)! So their first date was to homecoming when they were 15 & they had photos taken in Boardman Park that day. We love when couples can have their engagement photos taken somewhere special like that! And Boardman Park was looking beautiful with late afternoon golden light & fresh blooms- yay Spring!Oh my goodness, Megan! You are stunning! We’re pretty sure they couldn’t be cuter if they tried. They have an easy, quiet confidence as a couple that comes with having grown up together & sharing in so many amazing moments throughout the years. We love Spring engagement photos! Okay, so we feel like we have to preface this with a disclaimer because we would not usually intentionally place our couples in direct sunlight like this (hey, squinting & shadows!), but we just couldn’t resist recreating this AWESOME first photo of Megan & Ryan together in that exact spot on their first date- sophomore homecoming. They haven’t aged a bit, I swear! The cuteness factor is off the charts. And Ryan said he was so nervous for their date that he forgot to comb his hair that day before leaving for the dance. These two make us smile! This tree was magic & their chemistry & laughter together are the best.Seriously, stop being so darn cute, you two! But no really, keep doing that. lol! After our fun at Boardman Park, we decided to hit up the blooming bluebells at Poland Woods. They’re only blooming for a short time in the Spring & heading over there to see & photograph them is so worth it! They’re beautiful. Megan & Ryan looked so good in the midst of them & the golden light! Megan said she had her pretty dress chosen before we talked about the bluebells, but it coordinated perfectly! Ohio truly is gorgeous in every season of the year.Happiness oozes from these two when they’re together.Gosh, our couples are THE BEST! Megan & Ryan, we had a fabulous time with you two during your engagement session & can’t wait to hang again & celebrate your wedding day at Stambaugh in January!
