Hey Lovely Blog Readers! Happy Friday! We got to hang out with Kelly & Andrew last week for their engagement photo session and we were both thinking/saying, “Why are you so cute, though?!” the entire time! Seriously! Kelly & Andrew are effervescent when in one another’s presence! They.Are.Adorable! It’s extremely surprising to us that they’ve only known one another a little over a year because they are so comfortable together that it seems like they’ve known one another since they were kids. When they first met through mutual friends, Andrew asked Kelly to go ice skating. He thought it’d be a cute & fun first date (and it was!) where they could stumble through ice skating together. When they got started with their date, he realized that Kelly was a talented skater. He was like, “She can go backwards & everything.” So instead of stumbling around together on that ice skating date, Kelly dragged Andrew around (in his words). Ever since, he would willingly follow Kelly anywhere! 
We are so pumped that these two are getting married this November & that we get to be the ones to photograph this amazing time in their lives! We even got to take their engagement photos at the location where their wedding day will be- The Barn & Gazebo in Salem, Ohio. Huge shout out to Nancy & Chris for coming over that day to unlock it for us! Kelly, you are beautiful & will make SUCH a gorgeous bride!
These two bring out so much joy in one another. Their smiles light up everyone around them!

This is a serious favorite. The way they make each other laugh. . . there’s nothing like laughing with your best friend & love.
And, although the weather forecast wasn’t promising, we got to take a bunch of outdoor photos before the rain came that evening. And. . . I think I already said this, but it bears repeating- Best.Smiles.Ever!
When he whispers in your ear about bread sticks. . . lol! 
Is it weird to say they’re magical? Well, I don’t care if it’s weird, I’m sayin’ it! 
One of our favorite things ever, ever, ever about photographing couples is making people laugh & when they look at their photographs that we took for them, they say, “Whoa, we look THAT happy together?! It brings tears to our eyes!” Our couples are the best & we love them so, so much! Thank you, Kelly & Andrew, SO MUCH for trusting us with your beautiful love story! It means a lot to us!

We got to enjoy the warmth of the barn and stay dry from the sprinkles outside as Kelly & Andrew snuggled up in their dressier outfits & slayed their engagement shots with some epic fog & off-camera dynamic lighting in the background.
I can’t even with this! They are so WOW together! And I’m so glad Josh is a geek (in the best way!) about his fog in a can & epic lighting! 
Then we peeked outside & saw that it was not raining & we snuck outside for just a few more. Dancing is always a YES during your engagement session!
Most photogenic couple! Oh, and we have to share their proposal story because it’s wonderful! Andrew knew he loved Kelly & knew he just couldn’t imagine his life without her. So he schemed and planned with his entire family to make his proposal to her super special & meaningful. While dating, they had spent time at his grandparents’ farm in Hanoverton & Kelly had a favorite spot there. On the day of his proposal, he took her to her favorite spot & there were flower petals set up. She was excited enough about that & he had romantic & beautiful things to say along with a stunning ring for her. Beyond all of that excitement, Andrew’s dad set off fireworks! Fireworks! OMG. 
Kelly & Andrew, thank you a million times for choosing us to photograph your engagement session & wedding day! We have been having a fab time getting to know you both & we’re looking forward to celebrating with you on the wedding day! You two rock!
