Kacie & Dillon Engagement Session | Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens | Akron, OH | Fall Engagement Photos

Kacie & Dillon are a romantic & fun couple who are totally in love! Their engagement photo session at Stan Hywet Hall in Akron was just all kinds of adorable. We were really excited to finally shoot at Stan Hywet! It’s one of our favorite places to visit & there are so many beautiful aspects to it! Of course, the main focus (no pun intended) of the engagement session is Kacie & Dillon! And their cuteness really stole the show.
Fall engagement sessions, as you know, often include one of my favorite things- great boots!These two met in Florida while attending college at West Palm Beach (rough place to study, I’m sure) & this coming Winter will be Dillon’s first in Ohio. . . hopefully it’ll go easy on him, but it probably won’t. 🙂So this walkway is pretty enchanting, no? If you live anywhere near the area, you’ve got to visit Stan Hywet. When you stand in the manor house on the first floor and look down the long, straight hallway, you can look out a doorway & see down this long, straight pathway of beautiful trees.Â Oh my gosh, the way they look at each other. . . love is grand.So you need to hear about how these two got engaged. It is one of the sweetest and most special proposal stories! It was Kacie’s birthday weekend so she was on alert to a surprise from Dillon because he’s a pretty romantic boyfriend who is full of surprises and special gestures. He told her that she couldn’t come home to her parents’ house because he was busy doing something that she couldn’t know about. She thought it was a birthday surprise, but what was really going on is that Dillon had gathered everyone in the family for a huge surprise proposal & they were all at the house. He took Kacie to Gervasi VineyardÂ (where their wedding will be next year) where he had set up balloons in various places around the grounds. Tied to each balloon was a puzzle piece. Once the puzzle was put together, it was a photo of Kacie & Dillon with the date that they had first met, the date of their first official date, and that day’s date- the date they got engaged. Talk about a huge and exciting moment! Not only that, but Kacie’s entire family was there to celebrate since Dillon had clued them all in on the secret & had even flown in some family members from out of town so that they could all enjoy the happy moment together. Epic!Oh my goodness, you two! You are just so photogenic!Â We could have shot with them & with this amazing location all day!Straight out of a fairytale!Kacie, you are going to be a stunning bride!We cannot wait for your wedding day, Kacie & Dillon!
