Our last wedding of the 2019 season was this past Saturday & we’re sad to see 2019 go for so many reasons! Our couples were kind, fun, quirky, loving, and thoughtful. We loved so much about this wedding season & Maggie and Joe’s big day was a really special one to close out our year! We love their fun vibe when they’re together & we shared so many laughs with them and their bridal party throughout the day. The timeline was relaxed, as their wedding ceremony was at noon at St. Christine’s. We had plenty of time to photograph everything and it was at one of our all-time favorite venues- The Lake Club in Poland. We are super excited to share these with you and we figured that Christmas Eve was the perfect day to blog this wedding day with Christmas touches! We shared this on our Instagram, but we really think it’s accurate so we’re repeating it here- Maggie’s dad mentioned in his welcome toast that the reception was like walking into a Hallmark Christmas movie set…magical.Josh started out his day with Joe and the guys and they were all hanging out and putting on their tuxes from Rondinelli. Maggie got her wedding dress at Stephanie Leigh Bridal in Girard. It was gorgeous on her! She said it was maybe the 4th one she tried on. When you know, you know!
The father-daughter first look was a lovely part of the day- one of my personal favorites for sure.He went to give her a huge hug & then his wife reminded him not to strangle her with her veil so he held his hands out like this. It was sweet.I think the ride from Maggie’s parents’ home to St. Christine’s in the party bus was this little lady’s favorite part of the day. Maggie’s grandparents were with her in spirit on her wedding day. Sweet Arrangements did the wedding day flowers and just wait until you see what amazing things they did with the reception decor! She went straight for Joe at the end of the aisle, which was such an adorable moment. Everyone was awwwww-ing.Absolutely gorgeous. That smile! December wedding reception goals! I’m pretty sure there were 6000 cookies. No exaggeration. The Lake Club was looking 100. Maggie’s vision came to life! It was cozy & romantic. These guys were a riot. It was a nonstop laugh fest. Gotta love a classic black tux. This junior bridesmaid was so helpful & adorable all day. Loved her!And these ladies rocked! Everyone should have this much fun on their wedding day!
Seriously. . . these two are a great time. I couldn’t get over how stunning Maggie looked. She’s a natural beauty and Magnolia’s on the Green did a fab job with her hair and makeup.
Maggie wanted some snow & there were a few patches still hanging around here & there. Hey, better than nothing. And definitely better than a cold December rain! Their day was full of sunshine.I hope you all have amazing charcuterie spreads planned for your Christmas dinners tomorrow because you’re definitely going to be craving it after seeing these photos! The Lake Club does hors d’oeuvres right! And Bake Me Treats does wedding cakes like no other.See what I mean about the wow factor from Sweet Arrangements?! And 42 Inc did the lighting for the event. Everything came together beautifully! How cute are these mini taco appetizers?! And then it was time for the celebration to truly begin! Their band was called Twist & they were great. They had a Motown group within the band that did a set. They had a portion of the band who did more traditional wedding songs. And they did a lot of different numbers, too. The guests enjoyed it!Huge shout out to Acclaim Wedding Films for being fantastic to work with & always doing a solid job for their clients! And three cheers for Joann at The Lake Club for being the best coordinator ever.
Maggie & Joe, you two are going to have so much fun being married! We are really grateful you chose us to help tell the story of the first day of your marriage. Thank you again for everything & we wish you both the very best!
