We were so happy to get to photograph Rita & Emmanuel’s Greek wedding in Campbell this past Saturday! These two have been together for more than ten years and they are so comfy, cozy, cute together anyone around them can see that they’re best friends. We loved all of the family traditions they kept going on their wedding day; a lot of them were rooted in Greek traditions & they were interesting and fun for us to see. This was only our second Greek wedding that we’ve gotten to photograph over the past 9 years we’ve been photographing weddings. We love getting to see how different cultures and different personalities celebrate love & family. I started the day with Rita & her bridesmaids and mom at Roots Salon & Wellness Spa. I’ve gotten to work with their owner Bianca & their stylists in the past on location for weddings, but I’ve never gotten to see their pretty space until Saturday. It is so cute & full of natural light. Getting to see Rita glammed up in vintage style just how she wanted was really fun.She is gorgeous! The stylist team did a phenomenal job with hair & makeup! Meanwhile, Emmanuel got serenaded by the whole family as his twin brother helped him get suited up for the wedding day. This Greek tradition was one we hadn’t seen before this wedding day.I didn’t figure this out until the wedding day, but Rita’s little niece is the same age as my daughter because her parents were in childbirth classes with Josh & me back in the day in 2014. Hard to believe that was 5 years ago now! Our girls are getting so big & are so dang adorable. This little one Gia is full of spunk and smart as a whip. She’s so pretty, too.It runs in the family for sure! Look how stunning Rita is! And this dress with sleeves was absolutely perfect. I loved this candid of her sisters helping her and her future sister-in-law holding the veil. Then it was time for the wedding ceremony at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell. Cuteness overload with these flower girls! We’d like to give a huge shoutout to Father Denas for communicating with us before the ceremony that we were allowed to take photos from the alter because we wouldn’t have done that on our own. We stay off the alters at churches out of caution and to be respectful because most churches have that rule in place for photographers. We were thankful he took the initiative to give us permission to be there. The new Mr. & Mrs.! Yay!Beautiful sisters. And those twin brothers lookin’ sharp! Mike said a couple of people came up to him and told him congratulations because they thought he was Emmanuel. I asked him if he just said thanks and he said, “Heck no, I told them ‘I’m not him!’” lol. These two are such a gorgeous pair of humans. That Rondinelli Tuxedo was looking great.I can’t get over how pretty she is. Just wow.And then it was time for a huge celebration just across the street at the reception hall.Dutch Haus did a beautiful job with the cake! When these two got introduced to the reception crowd, they made a stop by Rita’s grandfather who just arrived. It was so sweet. And the Greek traditions continued at the reception! When you’ve been together 10 years and you just stand there & take the cake to the face lol.Grandpa and all of his favorite ladies. This celebration was a blast thanks to all of the fun guests & the great DJ Bryan Ladd! We love this family! If you’re in the market for a family photographer who goes above & beyond with client experience look no further than Evans Photography! Jen & Joel and their kids are the cutest.
Rita & Emmanuel, thank you both again for being amazing! You two were so sweet to us all day long & it warmed our hearts when you came over during dinner to make sure we got something to eat. You are both wonderful, compassionate, authentic people & we know your marriage will be blessed.
