When you’re in pharmacy school & kind of killing it with your smarts & your awesomeness like Krystina, you have a crazy schedule. Because of that crazy schedule, we planned Krystina & Chris’ January engagement photo session many weeks ago since it was during her short break from school. We were all expecting it to be freezing cold & possibly even way too snowy for these two to drive back to the area from their home in Buffalo, NY, but to our great surprise, the weather was unseasonably warm & there wasn’t a flake of snow! We had so much fun with these two at Lanterman’s Mill & Fellows Riverside Gardens. They are such kind people. . . seriously. And they love to talk so we often found ourselves lost in conversation. The security guard at the gardens had to come let us know that he would be locking up soon so we had to stop talking or we probably would’ve stood out there for a few more hours. We’re so excited we get to photograph their wedding day later this year!Let’s just mention two GREAT things: Krystina’s smile! Chris’ muscles! Maybe one is inspired by the other? hehe. How cute are they?!
Krystina’s hair is as soft as it looks in case you were wondering. So pretty.Outfit & scenery change. So you’ve gotta hear the proposal story. It is darling. Krystina & Chris had talked about marriage & they knew that they wanted to be together for the rest of their lives so Chris thought he’d never be able to surprise Krystina, but he was going to try. She had one request- she told him to please make sure that she would be dressed up when he proposed. He thought hard for an opportunity to have that happen without it being too suspicious to  her. It was graduation weekend for Krystina at THE Ohio State University so Chris got in contact with Krystina’s sorority sister to plan the proposal behind the scenes. Krystina’s sister made up an excuse to get Krystina all dolled up. Chris was on his way to campus, but was running a bit behind because of the crazy commencement weekend traffic. He was on the phone with Krystina while he was parking his car, but she didn’t know that & thought he was pretty far away. They hung up with Krystina still thinking it’d be awhile until Chris arrived. Chris hurriedly parked the car (thanking the parking attendant for letting him park somewhere without paying after he told her that he was proposing to his girlfriend and he didn’t have cash on him at the time) and he rushed to the oval where he tried hiding behind a tree without looking too creepy (his words). There were a TON of people on campus and quite a few of them were on the oval at the time taking photos with family before or after commencement. Krystina’s sister knew what was going down & led Krystina to where Chris was hiding. He popped out & surprised her and got down on one knee to propose. Krystina was completely surprised & really excited. She had secretly been thinking that graduation weekend would be the perfect time to get engaged. When they walked back past the parking attendant who let Chris park, she yelled, “Did she say ‘Yes?’” And they both excitedly got to say she did. They were on cloud nine all weekend & Krystina couldn’t believe that Chris actually pulled off the secret because she is a very difficult person to surprise. So sweet!Krystina, you are beautiful! You’re going to stop everyone in their tracks as a bride! We had such a fun afternoon with you, Krystina & Chris! Your wedding day will be here in the blink of an eye! Can’t wait!
