We get to share our first 2016 wedding on the blog today! Eleni & Eric were set up by a mutual friend who told Eleni, “You have to meet my friend Eric. You two are the same person just different genders.” At the time, Eleni had recently graduated college & was trying to focus on her career so she laughed & thanked her friend, but decided to just let it go. Six months later, her friend mentioned it again & she finally agreed to meet Eric. When they met, proverbial sparks flew. They are best friends. They are adorable together. They’re always smiling & their happiness is contagious. They were surrounded by a rowdy & fun group of close friends in their bridal party with whom we had a blast on the wedding day. Â Their families were so much fun! Just wait until you see the photos of the Greek dancing & Eleni’s grandma because you will certainly not be able to keep a smile from your face. We’re so thrilled these two are in the married club!
The incomparable Sin Pretty Beauty dolled up the ladies.
Eric surprised Eleni with a little message on the bottom of her shoes & she couldn’t hold back her tears. These girls were seriously a riot.Once Eleni & Eric were dressed to impress, they met at The Butler Institute of American Art for their first look. They were both so nervous, which was so beautiful to witness. They were beyond excited to see one another & start celebrating their wedding day together. Oh, these two! They are lovely. Can you even believe that Eleni made the bouquets herself?! Gorgeous! That blue POPPED outside with the dusting of snow. It was perfect.I mean, come on! Unreal! What a natural beauty!
That dress was elegant and looked stunning on Eleni. And the gray tuxes were on point.Once the first look was finished, it was time to walk down the aisle. This was our first Greek wedding & we were really excited about it. We love seeing different traditions and different types of wedding ceremonies. And the church was fabulous. The crowning ceremony was one of our favorite parts.I loved how the little flower girl was stepping out into the aisle to get a better look at the wedding. The tradition of walking around the altar three times was also a favorite part of the ceremony. Lanterman’s Mill could NOT have been a more perfect location for this stunning bridal party with the dusting of fresh snow on the ground.
Great smiles, Ladies! I cannot handle the cuteness. Freezing for a few minutes was worth it, right, Eleni?!
The reception at Avion on the Water was fantastic! The staff & the food were phenomenal & Eleni did a wonderful job decorating. The hot cocoa bar was a hit in the chilly weather.Cakes by Tammy did a really delicious job with the cake. They sang to each other during their first dance to the first song that they ever sang to one another- Amazed by Lonestar.Eleni & her dad were cute. And Eric & his mom were adorable. Let’s please talk about how stinkin’ cute Eleni’s grandma is!Can you even?!The reception flew by because the dance floor was packed all night. It was a bunch of fun.Eleni & Eric, we love you guys & wish you love, laughter, and happily ever after. May you enjoy many walks to the special spot where you got engaged! May you enjoy lots of cuddles. May you enjoy love you never imagined possible. Thanks again for choosing us to photograph the first day of your marriage.
