These two beautiful people have been together for five years supporting one another, having the time of their lives together, and traveling so many places together. When I say they’ve been together for five years, I mean they’ve really been together for five years. They met while working together & they’ve worked together ever since. They’ve entered the adventurous world of traveling nursing together & that has taken them to various cities & states. As I type this, they’re driving cross-country to their next destination together- California. To be able to pick up everything and just go with the one you love to a new destination takes a special kind of couple. These two love being together & experiencing life together. They wouldn’t do it any other way & can’t imagine having this opportunity to explore the country with anyone else. And now they’re married. I mean, could it get any more perfect?! Speaking of perfect, their October wedding day was a splendid day. Blue skies abounded & the sun shone down more brightly than any other day that entire month. Their wedding was on the beach. Yes, you read that correctly. Their October wedding in Western Pennsylvania was On.The.Beach. Risky? Kind of. Did it pay off? Heck yes! There’s so much goodness to share from this lovely wedding day so I won’t chat any longer. Let’s get to the pretty photos!
Ellen & her bridesmaids were having hair & makeup done at The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake (the ceremony & reception site). I loved her jewelry. And ohmygoodness! don’t get me started on her wedding dress! Her mom & sister said not a single gown that Ellen tried on looked bad. They all looked fabulous because Ellen is simply stunning. Eeeek. . . just wait until you see her in this gown! It’s from Sorelle Bridal Salon.Josh was with Michael & the groomsmen at a nearby hotel. She couldn’t wait to see Michael for their first look. She was smiles all morning just waiting for that moment.I absolutely love this photo I got to capture as our favorite florist Jenny from The Willows by Wehr delivered Ellen’s amazing bouquets. Jenny loves what she does & is passionate about flowers, but she’s even more wonderful because she’s so much fun to work with! These wine bottles personalized with one of Ellen & Mike’s engagement photos served as guest favors & as place cards to show guests to their respective tables. We’ve seen a couple of these guest benches lately. It’s a great way to take a memory of your wedding day & the guests who came with you wherever you settle down as a married couple. And THIS is the ceremony location. . . so much beauty!First look time. Goosebumps!Michael couldn’t believe how beautiful Ellen looked. I mean, he obviously thinks she’s beautiful every day, but she definitely took his breath away during that first look. Her eyes pop from a mile away! And that smile? So pretty. After the first look, we had time for some relaxed family photos before the ceremony. The timeline was wonderful. Then it was time for the ceremony to begin & the violinist did her thing.Ellen being walked toward her groom by her father & her stepfather. We had a little bit of time during cocktail hour for some more bride & groom portraits.haha Love this goofy one!A lot of people kept saying that Michael & Josh look alike. Even close family members almost mistook Josh for Mike once. :) And this one is just because these two are so much fun. 🙂Yay for reception fun! And I must share that one of the best caterers in the area caters receptions at The Gathering Place- Medure’s! Their food is fantastic.I couldn’t pass up sharing this one. Ellen’s mama in the background has me tearing up.Signature Desserts made their cake. What a beautiful & fun day these two enjoyed!Ellen & Mike, thanks so much for sharing your wedding day with us! We loved getting to know you both. Best wishes on your journeys with one another!
