We have a super cute DIY wedding to share with you today. The bride made almost everything for this wedding herself & she did a fabulous job! Everything about the day was full of fun. Olivia & Zack met in sixth grade & started dating junior year of high school. She was a cheerleader & he was a football player. We even got to go to their high school football field for some photos & we recreated the pose that they had on a buddy button (remember those?!) in high school. Their bridal party was a mini high school reunion in a lot of ways & their reception couldn’t have been more fun- everyone brought their party pants. If you’re a bride-to-be looking to DIY your wedding, this blog post will definitely inspire you. If you’re a hopeless romantic who believes in young love, this blog post will warm your heart. Enjoy!
A special shout out to the kind man who dragged a ladder out to the gazebo at Julia’s Bed & Breakfast to make this shot happen.
They had a gorgeous day for their outdoor wedding ceremony!
Olivia & Zack exchanged gifts & held hands without seeing one another before the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony was personal & full of laughs.
Olivia’s grandparents are deaf so there was an ASL interpreter for them.
They spoke their own vows & everyone in attendance got to hear their beautiful love story & how much they care for one another.
Confetti for the newlyweds!
After the family formals, we headed to Stambaugh Auditorium with the bride, groom, and bridal party. It’s such an iconic & stately location for bride & groom portraits.
That dress! I mean, I have no words! (Brides, just say yes to sleeves!) She got it at Evaline’s Bridal.
An “H” for their married last name.Â
Stunners!
Olivia was beautiful as soon as I arrived in the morning prior to hair & makeup, but the ladies at Blush n Bobby Pins did a great job with her wedding day look!
The next stop was the magical place where these two became a couple.Â
The bridal party was up for anything & Olivia & Zack really wanted to have a fun time with them for photos. I’m pretty sure they did.Â
This is the recreated buddy button pose. They did this in his football uniform & her cheerleading uniform way back when & here they are on their wedding day. Awwww.
A family friend made their pretty wedding cake.
Like we said, it was a party & nobody held back!
Shout out to our awesome table we ate dinner with! These guys & girls were a riot & the two in the middle had just gotten married two weeks prior- congratulations again, you two!
Olivia’s sister’s did a fun rap song for the newlyweds during toast time.
What an amazing day, Olivia & Zack! We’re excited to see what the future holds for you two as a married couple! Best wishes for a life full of happiness, fun, and buddy buttons.
