We’ve said it before & we’ll go ahead and say it again, we LOVE engagement sessions! We get to hang out with our couples & have a fun night, they get creative photos that showcase their love story in “normal” clothes (i.e. not wedding attire), and they get to see how we work so that once it’s time for the wedding day, they’re ready to go! We had a great time with Erin & Matt even though the first fifteen minutes or so of their session we spent swatting bugs. Thankfully we have our handy dandy reflector. That thing is a useful tool for so many things! I’m thinking we’ll do a Fun with Photography post soon all about that small but mighty tool! Anyway, back to Erin & Matt! You’ll see through their engagement photos that they’re adorable together & can’t stop from smiling when they look at each other. We must have heard them tell each other that they love each other 23 or so times during their session. . . so sweet!
I love her dress & how the colors just popped against that green summer background at Beaver Creek State Park.So each couple’s love story is unique. How they met, how their relationship grew, how they got engaged- it’s all their own! We love learning each couple’s story; it just makes us light up! Erin & Matt’s story is pretty similar to ours! It’s so fun! They met at the same bar/restaurant where we met- Mark’s Landing. They even met there on Memorial Day Weekend just like we did! (Not the same year, though. That would’ve been crazy). They karaoked a song which shall not be named. . . just kidding, they totally karaoked Backstreet Boys’ “Larger Than Life.” 🙂 There’s a memory they’ll never forget & we’re sure to hear that gem at their wedding reception in September! Can’t wait!Since this is their engagement session blog, you may be wondering how he proposed. Well, you’re in luck because it’s a cute story. On their first date, they went to see a movie. On the night they got engaged, they went to a Dierks Bentley concert. When he dropped her off after the concert, he gave her a book. The book he gave her was the same book as the movie that they went to see on their first date. It had a sweet note inside & after giving her the book, he asked her to be his wife. The golden sunlight is our friend.See what I mean about how happy they are together?! We love it & can’t wait to see how big their smiles are on their wedding day!I can’t wait to see what Erin’s wedding dress looks like! She’ll be a stunning bride, no doubt.Matt, thank you for your goofiness. You made us laugh. And we know you make Erin laugh every day. What a fun & pretty session! This makes us excited for all of the engagement sessions we have coming up in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned to the blog to see what’s coming up next!
