As I type this, I cannot even believe that I’m 20 weeks & 2 days pregnant with our child. We’re halfway there! It’s still surreal & unbelievable that Joshua & I are embarking on this parenthood journey.
Also, just to clarify, “Mini” isn’t our child’s name! 🙂 It’s just a little nickname for our baby until he or she is born & we name him or her. Someone told me that her daughter said, “Please tell me they’re not naming their baby Mini.” I thought that was so funny!
About my pregnancy: I cannot thank God enough for how smooth and wonderful this pregnancy has been. I feel great and have kept up my workouts. If it weren’t for this baby moving around and for my belly growing, I wouldn’t even feel pregnant. I feel very blessed & know that is not everyone’s experience with pregnancy; I don’t take any of this for granted! “Thankful” cannot adequately describe how I feel. Throughout this exciting time, we’ve been trying to take a baby bump progression photo at least once a week. We started at Week 16.
Here’s Week 17.Week 18:Week 19: Somewhere between 18 weeks and 19 weeks, Mini Menning had a growth spurt and finally decided to pop out a little. It was pretty awesome to finally feel like I had a bump instead of just feeling a little bloated. 🙂And here’s Week 20: It was a windy Fall day! Some fun things that have happened in relation to the pregnancy: I felt the baby kick for the first time around 16 1/2 weeks! It was SUPER AMAZING! Josh felt the baby move for the first time last week (around 19 1/2 weeks). Seeing his face light up while I felt the baby move on the inside & he could feel the baby move from the outside was pretty much a perfect moment in my life. I cannot even imagine how it’ll feel when we actually meet the baby outside of the womb in the real world for the first time! Only 20 more weeks to go (more or less)! 🙂 Thanks for following along with our journey!
