Jill & Ryan are two of the sweetest, most smiley people you’ll ever meet! They’ve known each other for most of their lives & are high school sweethearts. . . it’s all just so cute I almost can’t stand it! 🙂 I met Jill and her bridesmaids at her parents’ home where they were having hair & makeup done. The atmosphere was calm & relaxed.
Jill got to snuggle her little nephew during wedding prep.
While I was with the ladies, Josh was with the guys as they prepared for the day at Ryan’s parents’ house. They were also relaxed! Actually, they were all swimming and playing cards when Josh arrived. Jill & Ryan both wanted their wedding day to be calm, relaxed, and fun so they planned it that way.
The groomsmen were also getting ready for the day. If these guys look a little familiar, it’s because one is Ryan’s twin brother and the other is a past Menning Photographic groom, Jared. 🙂There’s another past Menning Photographic groom in this wedding party, too- Zac.
Pink! Willows by Wehr did an amazing job (as always) on the flowers for the day & all of these bridesmaids looked gorgeous!Jill was the definition of a beautiful & HAPPY bride! If you’re around Jill for 30 seconds you’ll feel like you’ve been friends with her forever. She’s soft-spoken at times, but anyone can see that her smile & laugh are always genuine.
Their wedding ceremony took place at the pavilion at SNPJ.
The ringer bearer wasn’t too keen on having so many people watch him walk down the aisle.Good thing mommy was there. 🙂The ceremony was short, sweet, and full of smiles.
Stunning!
I just have to share this little bit of cuteness: Jill’s Something Old she wore was the necklace Ryan got her when they first started dating.
So not only does Jenny from The Willows by Wehr do an awesome job with the flowers because she’s super talented, but she is also a very sweet & helpful person! She stuck around throughout the entire ceremony & then offered the bride & groom & their family members bottles of water during family formal portraits. She’s so awesome!Clarencedale Cake made the wonderful cupcakes & small cake for them to cut.Ryan’s brother, Matt, gave the Best Man toast.
And Kate gave the Maid of Honor speech. She said since she and Jill were so close growing up and all throughout school that it was a well-known fact that dating Jill meant also dating Kate, and Ryan put up with his two girlfriends well. 🙂
The cake cutting was entertaining. They swayed to Blake Shelton’s “Mine Would Be You” for their first dance as husband and wife. Then Jill danced with her dad.And Ryan danced with his mom. One of my favorite moments from the entire reception was when Jill’s grandparents won the anniversary dance for longest married couple with 54 years! DJ Becky from JL Entertainment asked Jill’s grandparents if they had any advice to share with the newlyweds. Her grandma replied, “Just be honest. And fair.” Her grandpa bluntly said, “Don’t worry, Jill will take care of everything.” Love it!
With that the dance floor was open!
We snuck these two away for five minutes because the sky was amazing! Here’s a little behind-the-scenes action for you. Josh loves getting dirty. He also loves shots with the off-camera flashes we have because they create a dynamic and dramatic effect. Off-camera flash, for the win!
After that five minute detour, it was time for the bouquet toss.
The Maid of Honor picked it up off the floor. 😉And the Best Man caught the garter!Jill & Ryan, we had a lovely time with you both & were so happy to get to share in your wedding day! We wish you both the best throughout your life together.
