Brooke & Matt’s wedding day was beautiful & fun because Brooke & Matt are so well-suited to one another. They just fit together. . . you’ve met those couples, right? The ones who seem to completely understand each other, support each other, and love each other no matter what. . . they just work. We can credit Brooke’s mom for bringing these two together. And we can credit their labradoodle, Roscoe, for helping Matt propose to Brooke. You’ll see him in some wedding photos. 🙂 All of the wonderfulness took place in Salem at the First Christian Church and in Poland at The Lake Club. Their wedding ceremony & reception were both so full of happiness & we were glad to be there to share in it all! The day went smoothly thanks to Marianne from The Party People Planning.
Brooke, her bridesmaids, and Brooke’s mother all got their gowns at Jacqueline’s Bridal in Poland, Ohio. These colors coordinated so beautifully together! We LOVE colorful weddings!Â
Jen Melia of The Makeup Boutique did an absolutely beautiful job with Brooke’s makeup! She was also very sweet and accommodating.Josh was with Matt & the guys hanging out around Salem taking photos.
Brooke & Matt love BB Rooners so it was only natural for the guys to make a stop there that day.
Matt wrote a letter to Brooke and had one of his groomsmen bring her a gift before the ceremony.
Brooke did the same for Matt.
His was a locket pin with a photo of his late mother inside. His cousins and father were there with him when he opened it.
This dress was made for Brooke! One of her bridesmaids aptly described her as a brunette bridal Barbie. So pretty!
The flower girl, Charlotte, was darling. Just wait until you see what happened when she ran down the aisle. Her daddy (Brooke’s brother) was waiting for her at the end.
Roscoe came by to visit after the wedding. Then we headed to The Lake Club. This is a fav!
Strolling along. . . all married and stuff. 🙂Randy Johnson Pastries did a lovely job on the cake.So their wedding was the day after LeBron James announced he was returning to Cleveland. This happened when Brooke & Matt were introduced into the reception. Then they danced their first dance to “Unforgettable.”
Brooke’s parents said a few words. Then the Maid of Honor Melinda proposed a toast. It was the perfect mix of funny and emotional. Andy & Jared (co-best men) gave speeches, as well. They both said they knew Brooke was a keeper when she willingly sat through all of Matt’s basketball team’s games (he’s a coach). The dance floor was abuzz with fun the entire night, as the band, The Ovation Band, kept everyone entertained. There’s a backstory to go with this cardboard cutout of Brooke’s brother Matt. He’s in the Navy and couldn’t be at the wedding because he is stationed in Guam and was on a submarine. So they had a large look-alike cutout made of him so he’d get to hang out and dance at the reception.Michael Jackson moves.Brooke & Matt, we had a great time with you both & wish you all of the happiness in the world!
