Remember when it rained, stormed, hailed, and was very windy almost every single night last week? Ugh, we do, too! But it made the grass VERY green. It made so much grow. And Friday evening was sunny, albeit slightly chilly for a May evening. Lauren & Dillon met us at Beaver Creek State Park for their engagement session looking so color coordinated and lovely together! We were excited for their session because they’re such a cute couple.
Josh spotted some pretty little purple wildflowers that coordinated with Lauren & Dillon’s coordination so we started there. 🙂
Lauren, you’re downright gorgeous! I shall call this photo, “We’re all Jeal of Lauren’s Flawless Complexion.” 🙂
Lauren & Dillon met after they were introduced by mutual friends at Youngstown State University. 
The light in the park was very pretty that evening. We were happy to be shooting in it!
The way he can’t help but smile around her is endearing.
I know you’d LOVE to hear the story about how he proposed! It’s so perfect! Dillon’s family traveled to Florida together & Lauren went, too. Dillon’s sister lives in Florida so they were all visiting and made a trip to Disneyworld while there because why  not? Dillon’s family members knew that he was going to propose at Disney, but he wanted it to be a huge surprise for Lauren. Dillon’s family members kept trying to ask him when he was going to pop the question (they were excited; how can you blame them? 🙂 ) and he kept giving them the eyes. You know the ones. . . the Stop- Talking- About- this- RIGHT- NOW- or- ELSE eyes. 🙂 As Lauren tells the story, she had NO CLUE that anything was going on, which is exactly how Dillon wanted it.
You know those employees of the park who take photos of families as they enter the park, hand them a ticket with a number on it, and those who wish to may purchase the photo at the park later? Of course, you do. One of those employees asked Dillon’s family if they’d like to pose for a photo. He said they would like to have a photo taken. As they were posing for the photo, Dillon got down on one knee. At first, Lauren didn’t understand what he was doing. Maybe he was tying a shoe? But then he got a ring out of his pocket & she definitely knew what was going on! He asked her to marry him as the Disney employee snapped some photos with his family all around them. 🙂 She said, “YES!”

Rain all week = fun puddles in the park for reflection photos.
The sky was pretty so we busted out the off-camera lighting equip for a few quick shots at the end of the session. Overall, the engagement session was wonderful & full of fun! We’re excited for Lauren & Dillon’s wedding next May! 🙂
