Today on the blog we’re featuring a fun, cold weather, COLORFUL engagement session! Emily, Rick, and their adorable puppy Roxie met us at Beaver Creek State Park for their March engagement photos. We had a great time and laughed a lot . . . mostly at my dorky comments!
What a beautiful family!Roxie went to hang out with her grandma in the car while we strolled around the park and took some more photos. These two are too cool.
And they’re adorable and in love and happy.Â
This looks like fun to me. It may be because I told them to “smile with their whole bodies” (what?!) or it might be because Rick said, “You come to this dark alley often?” with a sinister eyebrow raise just before this. Engagement sessions are too much fun!
Then came the COLOR EXPLOSION! This was a TON of fun! Emily made the colored powder herself, but she recommends to anyone who thinks that she/he might want to try it that just buying the powder off the internet would be best. The process for making it is time-consuming.
Roxie even got in on the playfulness. We adore couples who can have a blast playing around together like this! It is great to have someone in your life who makes you feel like a kid no matter how old you are. Emily & Rick are best friends who can goof around & also really care about each other, too. Those qualities are evident to those around them.
So many laughs & hugs all around:
Here’s my advice to you if you try something like this during a photo session: GO FOR IT! Go all in & really have fun with it! Don’t hold back. Emily & Rick did a great job of that. 🙂
The beautiful evidence of us having been at the park:And the amazing couple we had a blast with & whose wedding we are SOOOOO excited to photograph! If you’re interested in having Josh & Danielle photograph your engagement photos & wedding day, contact us!
