I don’t know too many people who have never cried at a wedding. There are so many emotional moments. Here are some tearjerkers from the weddings we photographed in 2013. Grab a box of tissues & read through.
This was a very emotional father-daughter dance. The bride’s daddy was saying goodbye to his oldest daughter . . . the first one to get married.
This bride (an only daughter) shared a spotlight dance with her mother.
The bridesmaids all got teary-eyed reading heartfelt letters from the bride before the ceremony.
This had to be one of the sweetest first dances at husband and wife we’ve ever shot! The photo below it is from the same wedding. The bride’s grandparents won the anniversary dance for being married the longest. Anniversary dances always get to us!
This dad beamed with pride while dancing with his youngest daughter on her wedding night.
This father-daughter combo left a lot of people in the room with misty eyes.
The bride’s grandpa gave the best speech at this wedding reception! He teared up & told everyone in the room, “We’re all related now- whether it be by blood or love. It’s truly a blessing to be here.”
This mother of the groom teared up while dancing with her son.
Childhood friends sure can give an emotional toast.
Another emotional toast by a childhood friend:
This groom couldn’t choke back the tears upon seeing his bride walk down the aisle.
The bride’s sister delivered a speech that rendered the bride speechless & tearful.
When this bride’s mother saw her as a bride for the first time on her wedding day, she welled up with pride & love.
This shot of the groom with his grandmother before the wedding ceremony gets us every time!
This bride wore a locket necklace with a photo of her late father so that he could walk with her down the aisle & be with her all throughout her wedding day.
This mother-daughter dance stung our eyes with saltiness (almost as salty as the ocean, which was only a few yards away at this beach house wedding reception).
This mother of the groom welcomed her new daughter-in-love (sounds better than “law,” right?) with open arms.
This father of the bride delivered a tearful, heartfelt speech & then enjoyed a special dance with his daughter through tears.
This mother of the bride & grandmother of the bride shared a loving mother-daughter moment during the wedding reception.
This groom danced with his beautiful daughter:
This father-daughter dance was extremely emotional, as it included the bride & her father, as well as the groom & his daughter. Daddy’s girls forever.
This father of the bride couldn’t hold back the emotions as he walked his youngest daughter down the aisle.
