When Elaina & Craig approached us last year and asked what our availability for this summer was because they were planning a destination wedding in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, we were absolutely stunned & excited! Of course, we’d love to shoot a destination wedding on the beach. We had done one previously & working barefoot on the beach is quite a grand time. Not to mention, Elaina & Craig are such amazing people with supportive & loving families. Sounds like a WIN!
They, their family members, & their friends stayed here together during the week prior to the wedding- The Dream Beach House on Corolla Beach, N.C. Â The wild horses were so beautiful!
The ladies got ready for the wedding day at Salon Swank in Kitty Hawk. The salon space was eclectically decorated, & they had a boutique with trendy clothes inside the salon. I may or may not have wanted to buy 4 dresses there. 🙂 Elaina was all smiles all morning.
Her bridal party had her cracking up.
Elaina had these made for each bridesmaid & her mom & soon-to-be mother-in-law.
Josh was with the guys at The Dream. They were hanging out all day, playing cornhole, shooting pool, and doing manly activities.
Elaina even had their names embroidered onto their robes. She is such a thoughtful, generous, and kind person; she truly thought of everything for her destination wedding to make her guests feel special.
Bad mamma jammas. 😉
And here’s the dashing groom.
It was breathtaking when Elaina slipped her wedding gown on- Bridal Barbie. 🙂
Her father seeing her for the first time as a bride:
Corolla is a 4×4 beach. Here come the guys for the ceremony:
And the ladies rolled up in the back of the pick-up, as well. The reverend officiating got a kick out of that.
Elaina’s nephews are beyond special to her. She simply adores them. Elaina & Craig have been together for so long that these boys consider Craig “Uncle Craig” already. Now it’s official.
Craig & Elaina have been friends since preschool. They’re one of those couples who just make sense together in the simplest, yet very profound way.
Happy tears:
And “THE Kiss.”
By the power vested in me by this blog, I pronounce you Husband & Wife on the Interwebs. 😉
Please pay close attention to the photo in the bottom left of this collage. Craig loves his new brother-in-law. 🙂
Here are the father of the groom and the father of the bride sharing congratulations.
And Elaina’s mom wiping away those tears of joy.
Woohoo!
You kind of just have to know this group, but this is typical. 🙂 They like to have fun!
That’s one great lookin’ couple!
And one seriously gorgeous bride!
They’re so carefree together, but yet they’re romantic at the same time.
Julie Agnew (Crestview’s home economics teacher) made the cake & cute cupcakes.
Here’s their grand entrance to the reception as husband and wife.
The cutie nephews got to partake in the speeches wishing the newlyweds well.
Elaina’s nephew said the BEST part about their wedding day was when Uncle Craig smashed the cake in Aunt ‘Laina’s face.
Everyone had a blast!
Sparkler sendoff!
Elaina & Craig, thank you so much for making us a part of your destination wedding! No one could’ve written a more beautiful true love story than the one you two share. We wish you many years of happiness & love.
