Melissa & Robbie have so much fun together. They laugh, they goof around, & they share so much joy. That fact in itself made photographing their wedding day a blast, not to mention their hilarious bridal party and amazing friends & family. This wedding day will definitely be one for all to remember. Josh met the guys that morning at The Dutch Village Inn.
They were getting ready in the Grand Suite.
The groom all spiffed up & ready to see his bride. The gray tuxes with the black bow ties really worked.
What a handsome bunch of groomsmen. They look ready for a wedding.
The Dutch Tulip created the floral masterpieces for the wedding day. Jenny & her team always do such an amazing job. We work with a lot of wedding vendors, and we don’t recommend businesses lightly. We realize that their work will be a reflection on us if we recommend them so know that us recommending The Dutch Tulip means that they are professional, lovely people who will make awesome bouquets & decorations for you.
Melissa’s shoes for the ceremony- she borrowed them from Cinderella. 😉 They served as her “something blue.”
I met the bride & her bridesmaids at St. Jude Church, where the wedding ceremony would take place. Melissa is hands down the funniest bride I’ve ever photographed. She had me laughing all day!
The moms lighting the outer candles that the bride & groom will use to light their unity candle:
Robbie was exceedingly happy to see Melissa walking down the aisle with her dad. Melissa couldn’t stop smiling if she tried. 😀
Some happy tears, too:
See what I mean about how ridiculously happy they are together?! The kiss & husband and wife announced for the first time:
We had a few hours to take photos (yes!) so we started at the circle in Columbiana. Quite a few cars honked their congratulations. This bridal party was awesome.
He’s all like, “I’m cooler than all of these people.” 🙂
These photos were taken beside Mirror Lake in Firestone Park. Melissa spent a lot of time here as a child; now she and her groom were photographed here on their wedding day. How awesome is that?
Since the reception was taking place at The Links, we ventured around those grounds for some more photos. The ladies looking lovely:
Aaaaand…the guys being guys:
I love the sneaky shot on the left. Â And the beautiful shot on the right.
This is very Melissa & Robbie.
Gorgeous. Those ruffles look so pretty on her.
Das Dutch Haus made their cake. The cake topper was very elegant.
Aren’t these bibs adorable? Melissa’s aunt made them.
The bridal party let their personalities shine during introductions to the reception.
And the new Mr. & Mrs.!
They danced to “You Had Me From Hello” by Kenny Chesney.
So.In.Love.
And more of those happy tears from Melissa.
Nothing wrong with a little knife fight before cutting the cake. 😉
Perkins’ Matron of Honor speech was heartfelt; she & Melissa have been best friends for years.
I’m pretty sure she told them to move back to Ohio & have kids about six times. 😉
And the best man was full of jokes and love for the couple.
With that, the dance floor was open & bumpin’.
Hilariously cute. These kids had an absolute blast & did not run out of energy the entire night.
Like I said, she’s an awesome bride.
Melissa dancing with her father:
This adorable couple won the anniversary dance. They’ve been married 67 years! Congratulations, you two!
I can’t even handle this cuteness:
Then it was time for the dollar dash. It got slightly aggressive. That’s how it should be. 🙂 Friendly competition is encouraged.
Robbie won back massages from Melissa for a year. 🙂
Bouquet time:
I like how the ring bearer is curiously looking on.
These wedding guests were fun.
The Worm:
I’m not sure what this move is called, but everyone enjoyed it.
Some serious air guitar from the bride:
Congrats, Melissa & Robbie! We had a wonderful time at your wedding & getting to know you two. If you do end up moving back to Ohio, we’d love to hang out! We wish you two the love you felt on your wedding day forever.
