Erin & Nick fell in love in high school. Nick unselfishly left to serve our country. They were apart for a while. To borrow a beautiful phrase from Erin’s matron of honor’s toast: “Love finds a way…”
Gosh, I loved these lacy peep toe stilettos…
The absolutely adorable flower girl being pampered by the bride. Make-up time!
And she had a little help from her aunt with her pretty, little dress.
Timeless beauty.
Meanwhile, upstairs… the guys getting prepared for the day. It’s really helpful that Josh and I shoot as a couple. I go with the bride and her bridal party, while Josh hangs with the guys prior to the ceremony.
Here’s the handsomeness.
They were all walking in sync unbeknownst to any of them. How very Ocean’s Eleven and The Beatles of them. 🙂
Hi First Christian Church!
There is something very special about the way that she looked at her groom on their wedding day. It’s pure, unambiguous happiness full of hope and wonder.
They’ll remember how they felt in this moment forever. Husband and wife!
They threw a very fine, powderesque confetti. It definitely made everyone look like they had dandruff, which made for many jokes and lots of laughs. 😀
These two are best friends.
Hey brides reading this: A lot of brides ask us during meetings or when planning for their weddings how much time is ideal for portraits on their wedding day. We realize that each wedding is different and each wedding couple is unique. Keeping that in mind, we LOVE having two hours of shooting time with just the bride and groom. It allows us to be slightly more leisurely when photographing you together, allows you and your man to relax, and allows us to go to a couple creative locations to mix it up a little. This works out well and does not require a huge break in between your ceremony and reception if you incorporate a cocktail hour. Also, talk to us about a first look. We certainly won’t pressure you into doing a first look if you have always desired to stick to tradition, but if you’re up for the new tradition and would like to have time to do a fun, relaxed creative portrait session and enjoy a few laid back family photos prior to the ceremony so you can get to your reception and enjoy that time with your friends and family, we’ll be all ears and up for brainstorming that wedding day timeline for you. In other words, whatever your desires are for your wedding day, we’ll help you plan the timeline so everything will run smoothly regarding photographs and FUN.
I’m pretty sure after that rant, I should try my very best to be quiet throughout the rest of this wedding blog… 😉
We stopped off at Vintage Estates for a few drinks photos. 🙂
The Best Man toast by Nick’s brother definitely drew a few tears. Thank you both for your service to our country! You are real life heroes!
Laughs are always great, too!
Clarencedale Cakes did another awesome job! They’re a favorite among Menning Photographic couples and we can see and taste why!
Let the dancing begin!
Mr. Anthony’s is a great venue for a large wedding reception with tasty food and a helpful staff.
We wish you the best, Erin & Nick! We know you’re enjoying wedded bliss, and we’re smiling for you! 🙂
