We got to hang out with Haley, Jared, and their cute pup Caleb and take some pretty engagement photos in Youngstown and Canfield. They make us smile so big when we’re around them. They’re one of those couples who simply fit together. They’ve been together more than a decade already! She’s a nurse and he’s a lawyer (just got his Bar passage results a couple of weeks ago; whoop whoop!) and they’re two of the most hard working, compassionate, selfless, kind, and admirable people we know. And when we first got to hang out with them to talk wedding photography, we found out they have their own secret handshake just like we do, so we know they’re definitely going to have an awesome marriage. 🙂 We’re SUPER STOKED for their June Stambaugh Auditorium 2020 wedding! 
Not only are Haley & Jared ridiculously cute together, but they both know how to dress. And their smiles would cheer up anyone’s day! 
You blog readers always know I’m bragging about Sin Pretty Beauty for hair and makeup & that’s who did Haley’s for her engagement session. Stunning! 
We were supposed to meet them that day in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, but we had been tracking the weather all day & it looked like nothing but rain and storms up that way. We were bummed since the Butler and the Canfield Mill Creek Metroparks Experimental Farm weren’t their first location choices, but it all ended up working out beautifully and we were correct that we would’ve gotten stormed out in Akron, but we stayed dry in Youngstown, thankfully. 
After the Butler Institute of American Art, it was time for an outfit change and a puppy meet up at the experimental farm. Caleb was super excited and distracted outside, but we snapped a few of his adorable face looking our way.
What do you do when you want some glowing, light-filled photos on a dreary overcast day? You create some sunlight with your flash, of course! 
And since this is their engagement session blog, you know I’d love to share their proposal story! St. Pete Beach in Florida is a really special place to them and they were on a family vacation there in 2018. Jared proposed on the beach as they watched dolphins play around during sunrise one July morning. Perfect.
And in addition to the light-filled images, it’s always fun to embrace a moody sky, too.
These two are just so cute.
