Maria & Anthony are super sweet & romantic together & we are so happy we get to photograph their wedding day next year! When we first got together with them & heard the story of how they met & the story of how he proposed, I couldn’t get over it! They are like a real-life fairytale! They’re both amazing humans full of talent, intelligence, and heart. When we got to hang out with them for their engagement session,they hadn’t seen each other in awhile so it was fun getting to see them come together; they’re currently long distance because Anthony is in the Navy & they can’t wait until they get to live together & be together every day. So their engagement session was a ton of fun for lots of reasons & we’re so excited to share it with you! 
This baby grand at Avalon came in handy for some photos since they both play & music has been a huge part of their relationship.
They love to listen to their favorites & cook together. Maria is also a talented baker & she brought us DELICIOUS cookies to her engagement session. We’re smitten lol! 
Their connection is just so sweet. And her hair & makeup was looking on point- Jen from Sin Pretty Beauty did a fab job! 
And then Anthony played & we all just wanted to sit there and listen for hours (especially Maria)! 
So you won’t be able to get over how these two met! She was a bridesmaid & he was a groomsman in the same wedding & they were paired up for a group photo. They said it was a bit awkward because the photographer asked Maria to put her elbow into his back & that was the moment they met. lol!

Have we told you lately that we love our job? Hanging with happy people is the best.
A scenery change & an outfit change! Thank you, thank you for your service, Anthony! And THAT DRESS! Maria was glamorous in that beauty! 
And these two told us they weren’t photogenic. hahaha! So flippin’ funny! They are adorable! 
So their proposal story: three months leading up to exact date he was going to propose, he sent her three roses. At the time, she had no idea it had anything to do with a proposal plan. She just knew she was dating someone really romantic & thoughtful. Two months out, another significant gift, And so on. Until the day he got down on one knee at the Botanic Gardens in D.C. & asked her to be with him forever. LOVE! 
Even though their session was during Fall & almost all of the flowers were gone, we found the last few still hanging on & I love these shots! 
And here is the infamous pose that these two did during their bridesmaid/groomsman duties that started it all! So if you’re reading this & you’ve yet to meet your soulmate, just put your elbow in someone’s back & the rest will be history. ha!
