Happy November! Every year since we started the photography business almost six years ago, October has flown by in the blink of an eye. It’s definitely a busy time of year for us & this year was no different. But we did want to make sure that we carved out time for fun with each other & Tenley. And we had a Saturday off last month- what?! It was amazing & the weather was downright beautiful! We’ve been blogging a ton of gorgeous weddings & pretty engagement sessions lately & it has been a really long time since we updated you blog readers on what has been going on with our family. Tenley isn’t even two years old yet, but we’re pretty sure she’s reached the three-nager stage. LOL! She dressed up as a monkey this year for Halloween & it was the cutest thing ever.  We didn’t take her trick or treating because she’s not allowed to eat candy yet & we didn’t want to have the candy around our house because we’d eat it all in three days. . . ugh, sad, but true! We have no self-control around chocolate or sugar so we generally try our best not to have it in our house! We did do lots of fun Fall activities around the Columbiana area while she wore her costume, though! We are so excited to share the photos with you all!Our little dancing monkey! She just turned 20 months old on October 24. She is so funny lately. She is talking up a storm & most often speaks in sentences of two or three words. She has even told us a few doozy sentences of five or six words at once. We are constantly amazed at her smarty-pants ways! She’s also pretty challenging because of her strong-willed ways. We’re learning every day how to calm her down & try to get her to politely ask for what she wants instead of throwing fits. It’s a slow process, but we’re trying our very best to remain patient! Kids are fun, but they are difficult, too. One of her very favorite activities is playing outside! She loves discovering new things & being in the wide open backyard. 21 week baby bump representing. And another thing I’ve been up to? Letting my hair grow. I’m not sure why or what the end goal is, but my hair has grown quite a bit. We’ll see what happens. I like it short & it’s so easy so I honestly don’t know why I ever started growing it. haha.Tenley loves to fly. She says, “Fly, please, Daddy.” or “Tenley fly.”Our hearts melt every time this girl smiles.Flying monkey! Sign her up for The Wizard of Oz cast!On our Saturday off, we were all excited & wanted to do ALL. The Things! We baked a cake in the morning & Tenley helped. She is in a stage of wanting to help us do everything. Baking a cake together was a first for us. I can count on less than one hand the times I’ve baked during our almost six years of marriage. Like I said, we’re not good at having sweets in the house so we try to avoid it. Tenley really liked helping bake, though. And she was very happy about the sprinkles.Let me tell you that the sugar rush & crash was not fun with this. Tenley is not used to eating this much sugar at all! It wasn’t pretty. LOL. Later that day, we went to Detwiler Farm in Columbiana for a hayride, goat petting & feeding, a corn maze, and other Fall fun. Tenley LOVED it. She realized during our trips to the Columbiana County Fair, Canfield Fair, & Living Treasures earlier this year that she really, really likes goats. She says they’re “nice” and “cute” and “lick you.” haha! During our trip to Living Treasures, she hugged all the goats & tried to lay her head down on them. It was gross & adorable all at once. Those goats are dirty! I was asking her what she thought of the pumpkin patch.Tenley decided to do “Ashes, Ashes” in the pumpkin patch. She really knows how to make her mommy dizzy! This should be the poster for Autumn fun. I have to say, Ohio sure is a beautiful place & we’re so thankful for the seasons we enjoy here. Winter could be a little shorter (lol), but we aren’t complaining. One of Tenley’s favorite things about the hayride was that there were apples to eat.Thank you for following along with this journey of ours! We love sharing the fun with you all! We hope you’re having a fabulous Fall! We’d love to hear about your favorite Fall activity to do or what your kid(s) dressed up as for Halloween. Tell us in the comments!
