Jessie & Jared Wedding | Salem Barn & Gazebo | Rustic Barn Wedding | Youngstown, Ohio Wedding Photographers

Jessie & Jared are newlyweds & we are so ecstatic to get to share all about their wedding day on our blog today! These two had the perfect blend of laid back, rustic, emotional, happy, fun-filled, & glam for their wedding day & it was so much fun to photograph. Their wedding day has been many years in the making because these two have known one another since they were children. We shared a bit about their story on their engagement session blog, but it’s too cute not to mention again. They have been together since Jessie was in ninth grade & Jared was in tenth. That means when they took their vows this September they’d been a couple for ten years! Their love is apparent to anyone who sees them & photographing it all was a fabulous time.Jessie found her dream wedding shoes online quite awhile before the wedding day, but she decided not to buy them and to look for something else. Well, nothing fit the bill quite like these steampunk numbers & she didn’t find any that she loved as much. So Jared encouraged her to buy these babies & she was so happy he did.Jen from Sin Pretty Beauty did an absolutely amazing job with Jessie’s wedding day hair & makeup! And it almost seems staged that this pretty print featuring the verses from 1 Corinthians 13 (the love chapter) was right behind Jessie while she got her wedding makeup done, but it wasn’t staged at all. Her parents have it hanging in their kitchen. Jessie was very pleased with Jen’s work! That dress on her. . . I mean, wow! What a beautiful bride! Just wait until you see Jared’s reaction during their first look.
We’ve photographed a few weddings at The Barn & Gazebo in Salem, and this is definitely the most glam we’ve ever seen it look.Das Dutch Haus made their cake. The perfect cake topper for these two gaming fans.First looks: so full of emotion, anticipation, & love. A special, private, intimate moment with your love on your wedding day- what could be better? They exchanged gifts. Jared gave Jessie a necklace that he’d bought shortly after their first date that he had planned to give to her on their wedding day someday. He knew way back then. How romantic is that?!Their wedding was originally planned to be outdoors, but the weather had other plans that day. Their indoor ceremony was extremely lovely & just right. The wet weather couldn’t dampen their spirits. We’ve photographed two weddings now that Tim officiated & he always does a great job with being a fun mixture of personal & professional. He includes the phrase “I will love you with unrestrained excess” in the couple’s vows. “Unrestrained excess”- what a lofty and worthwhile goal for a marriage. We recreated a shot similar to one from their engagement session that showcases their engineering rings. Then it was time for the party!
I can’t tell exactly what was going through her mind at that moment, but it looks to me like she was thinking about incredibly happy she was to be his wife after all of those amazing & fun years together. Their story is finally entering the chapter that includes being husband & wife. When a dad has nine kids (yes, 9) and loves them each individually and wholeheartedly like he does Jessie, he’s an exemplary dad. These two adorable people won the anniversary dance for longest married couple. We had to borrow those shoes again for a ring shot.Sneaking away once the rain finally let up a bit? WORTH IT!Jessie & Jared, we had a fantastic time with you & are so happy for you! Have fun being married! And thanks again for having us as your wedding photographers!
