Jessica & Rick | St. Patrick Church | Hubbard, OH | Mill Creek Park | Fellows Riverside Gardens | Davis Center | Youngstown, OH Wedding Photography

Jessica & Rick didn’t meet in the most romantic of circumstances- both wearing hairnets and working in a campus cafeteria. 🙂 However, their relationship grew out of that situation & their wedding day was a romantic & lovely occasion. We were so glad to be a part of it & share in the day with them as they joined together for eternity. Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and their wedding reception was at The Davis Center at Mill Creek Park. Everything about the day was beautiful, but especially the way that Jessica & Rick smiled at each other throughout the wedding ceremony, cuddled close during their bride & groom photo session, and had a fabulous time with friends & family during the reception. Their wedding day was beautiful because it was full of love.

Jessica’s shoes were her Something Blue.

They were both getting ready for the day in the same hotel- the Holiday Inn in Boardman, but they were in separate rooms.
Jessica was so calm and just having a really great morning with her bridesmaids, mother, and stepmother. She offered me food & drinks, and she asked me if I needed anything about 7 times; such a sweetheart! All of the ladies were full of smiles as she donned her dress & assumed her role of stunning bride.
Then we all headed to the church. St. Patrick’s is gorgeous with all of its stained glass & skylights.

The ceremony was so happy & full of genuine smiles.

Very happily married people!

These bridesmaids were so fun to hang out with. Full Circle Florist made the bouquets.

Gah! Jessica, you’re absolutely lovely!

They both have great senses of humor. We were looking forward to photographing their wedding day for this very reason. 🙂 We found out during their engagement session that they love to joke around and have a great time so we were excited to see them again.

The light in Mill Creek Park Fellows Riverside Gardens was perfect & the temperature was, as well. The weather couldn’t have been better.

The sweetness between these two also helped to make some beautiful photos happen.

With an amazing couple like this & the perfect lighting conditions we were working with, we could’ve kept shooting until the sun disappeared, but Jessica & Rick had a reception to get to.

Randy Johnson Pastries crafted the wedding cake. Don’t you love the cake toppers?

These cute Wedding Mad Libs cards were at each guest’s place setting. I’m sure they got a lot of fun (and probably a few sincere) answers. I imagine that they were a riot to read.

Hey, Uplighting! It’s awesome to see you! 🙂 Uplighting and DJ services by the amazing Mark Anthony. We have said it before & we’ll say it every single time: uplighting is one of the best ways to add interest to a reception venue & to the photographs. Isn’t it pretty?!
When they were introduced to the reception as husband & wife:

Jessica’s sister’s MOH speech was one of the best we’ve ever heard! It was so sweet, funny, and sincere. We loved the story about the first time Rick visited Jessica’s family, but we won’t put that on the Internet to protect anyone from potential embarrassment. :)

Their first dance was a choreographed number to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”

Then Jessica shared a dance with her father.

And Rick danced with his mother:

With that, the dance floor was open & packed. Mark did a great job with playing songs to get everyone participating from the young to the young-at-heart. 🙂 We saw some great moves throughout the evening.

Even Jessica’s 91-year-old aunt had some great moves!

What a cutie! Future Menning Photographic assistant? 🙂

He’s teaching them the art of the air guitar.

They are quick learners. 😉

We love the way that DJ Mark Anthony concludes the receptions that he emcees. The guests encircle the bride & groom with love & encouragement as they embark on their married life together.

Jessica & Rick, congratulations again! We had a ton of fun with you both & wish you a lifetime of happiness that grows year after year.
