Brooke & Dan Wedding | Fellows Riverside Gardens | Mill Creek Park | Palermo Banquet Center | Youngstown, OH Wedding Photography

I have a little story to share with you today on our blog: Boy meets Girl. Boy takes Girl to lots of Bon Jovi concerts. Boy is goofy and makes Girl laugh all of the time. Girl is beautiful & Boy realizes he loves her. Boy takes Girl to one more Bon Jovi concert- only this time, it’s different. This time, Boy has a diamond ring in his pocket & he asks Girl to marry him during the most romantic song of all. Girl says she would love to marry Boy. They have some fun & adorable engagement photos taken. Before they know it, the BIG DAY has arrived. Everything about the ceremony at Mill Creek Park Fellows Riverside Gardens is perfect, and Boy & Girl dance their first dance as husband & wife to Bon Jovi’s “Thank You For Loving Me.” That cute little story is the story of Brooke & Dan & we’re really happy to share their gorgeous wedding day with you all today! I met Brooke and her bridesmaids at Mulina’s Salon; they were all having so much fun!

Then the ladies went to Macy’s at the Southern Park Mall to get their makeup done. Brooke’s makeup artist has been doing her makeup for big events since she was young.

As usual, while I was with the ladies, Josh was with the fellas. 🙂

Dan is one of the most smiley & funny guys we’ve ever photographed. He’s always cracking jokes & making everyone laugh.

I absolutely LOVE the gray tux trend.

On the way to the Rose Garden for the wedding ceremony, Brooke & her bridesmaids were having a blast in the limo.

We’ve shot a lot of weddings & I don’t say this often, but this wedding dress is in my top three all-time-favorites for sure! Brooke looked absolutely ahhhhhh-maaaazing in it!

Her grandma got to help her put her wedding shoes on. Awww!

Everything about this wedding day was phenomenal. First of all, I had plenty of time to photograph the bride with her bridesmaids prior to the ceremony while Josh was photographing the groom and the groomsmen prior to the ceremony. We also got some family photos in prior to the ceremony- Brooke with her side & Dan with his side. To add to the loveliness, the day was perfectly overcast so we could basically shoot anywhere without having to worry about the lighting conditions! Happy photographers! Before scrolling, be sure to check out the adorableness of the flower girl smelling her flower.

When we first started out in the photography world, we would laugh and have a great time with our clients. Now we laugh and have a great time with our clients while shooting them at the same time.  Sounds slightly awkward- we make people laugh and then shoot them. 🙂 Ahh well. You know what I mean!

Stunning, Brooke! The tulips in Fellows Riverside Garden were so beautiful that day!

Wild Flower Cove did a marvelous job with the florals for the entire wedding day! They’re amazing!

Brooke honored her recently deceased grandfather with a photo charm on her bridal bouquet.

Dan was so happy & looking great! He asked Josh if he could just call him “Best Friend” all day. We love our clients!

Brooke, her sister, her mother, and her grandmother. I’d say this is pretty darn perfect. Beautiful women! (And just one day prior to Mother’s Day).

A few tiny sprinkles fell from the sky just prior to the Mill Creek Park Kidston Pavilion wedding ceremony for good luck 🙂 and the beautiful occasion began!

Mary Jo did a great job with the ceremony! We highly recommend her as an officiant.

Yay! Married!

Then we enjoyed some relaxed family portraits with the entire family as well as bridal party portraits now that Brooke & Dan were husband and wife!

Then Brooke & Dan enjoyed some “alone” time (with us, of course) for their bride & groom photo session. Why are these photos so amazing & why are these two receiving a TON of bride & groom portraits in their wedding collection? For one, they’re ridiculously good looking! For another, they allotted plenty of time for these photos in their wedding day timeline! 🙂 We’re not saying we can’t shoot with time constraints (because we totally can!), but we don’t recommend it- mostly for our couple’s benefit. Less stress about time = better wedding day! And Brooke & Dan’s was fabulous!

See previous comment about laughing with our clients & shooting them at the same time! 🙂

These two were probably the happiest people in the world that day!

Dan is a self-proclaimed non-photogenic person. We beg to differ! These two were pros by the time their wedding day rolled around. They’d already  had a fantastic engagement session & they were on Cloud Nine after tying the knot & their photos show it!

It’s raining flower petals!

Their reception was at the St. Lucy Palermo Banquet Center. Wild Flower Cove crafted the centerpieces. . . just wow! So pretty!

They had a s’mores station!

They also had an epic cookie table!

Brooke’s sister Kristen gave away a few of Brooke’s sneaky little secrets during her MOH speech. It was funny & very sweet.

Dan’s friend Justin made a short & sweet toast to the newlyweds.

Then Dan & Brooke shared a special dance to Bon Jovi (of course!)

Brooke & her dad:

And Brooke & her mom:

I think this dance was a marvelous mother’s day gift a day early. 🙂

Then the party fun ensued!

Brooke’s dad tried his best to keep things PG. 😉

The garter replacement was a riot.

Brooke & Dan, congratulations, you two! We had a lot of fun with you both & your wedding day was amazing! And we pray that your life together and your marriage is so terrific that it kicks your wedding day’s butt! 🙂

All the way from California I would not have missed this special day as I remember the day her parents told us they were expecting Brooke
Even though she moved away from SoCal we always see her as our “little grown up Brooke” from the time she was a little one One Smart Gal Now Married Woman, Brooke has a special place in our hearts forever
We wish Brooke & Dan a lifetime of “rain rain rain” & we cannot wait till the next milestone “baby babies babies”
Thanx for inviting me to share the 1st day as Mr&Mrs & the photos are FABULOUS
