Today on the blog- another engagement session! October has been wonderful because we’ve had 8 engagement sessions within the 2 1/2 weeks of October we weren’t on vacation. 🙂 We adore engagement sessions for so many reasons. They’re laid back, fun, engaging (haha), and such an amazing opportunity for us to get to know our clients better & for our clients to get to know how quirky & weird we really are when we shoot. 😉
We met Jessica & Rick for their engagement session at Fellows Riverside Garden in Mill Creek Park. Their wedding reception next year is at the Davis Center so we’ll be there with them again in May. Exciting!
Seeing these two together just makes you happy. You can’t help but smile as you see them smile, laugh, and tease each other. They have a lot of chemistry. Â P.S. Awesome boots, Jessica!
I also really love Jessica’s layering of her jacket, sweater, and flowy, feminine shirt. When we were taking this photo there were some fellow park-goers creeping very close to Jessica & Rick. We took a few quick shots in this pose because it was slightly awkward & moved to a different area, but I’m really loving this shot so I guess those few seconds of creepiness were worth it. 🙂
When you hear how these two met, you’ll have faith that romance can surface anywhere. The night they met, they were both wearing hairnets, and she told him to mop the floor at Ohio University’s dining hall. She was wearing a ponytail and no makeup. He was a bit salty with her & said he was NOT going to mop the floor. She told him he’d have to do something else then. 🙂 Since then, they’ve been on an adventure toward the altar that forced them into the long-distance relationship thing while she was in grad school, temporarily moved them both to Florida, and now has them both in Columbus. They also just got back from helicoptering the Grand Canyon. Sounds like the start to an amazing life together to me.
They both have a sarcastic sense of humor so we got along quite well.
Don’t let Rick fool you, though. He has a sweet side, too.
