Holly & John’s wedding day was a fabulous day for all involved. Holly was a gorgeous bride full of life and laughter. John was a handsome groom who beamed with joy just being in Holly’s presence. It was a happy day to be a part of!
I met the ladies at Casal’s de’ Spa & Salon in Howland.
See what I mean about Holly being a happy, smiling bride?
If you’re an avid blog reader, you may recognize these beautiful faces. Holly’s sister, Melissa, the Matron of Honor, was a Menning Photographic bride only a couple of months ago. We were so excited and honored to photograph both of their weddings. It was an added bonus that their families are so kind & loving.
All of the bridesmaids agreed that Holly was an absolutely stunning bride & that John would definitely cry when he saw her walk down the aisle toward him. They were right. ๐
The pride and love shined in her mother’s eyes all day.
Holly is a talented architect; she designed her parents’ current home so I was sure to get lots of photos of her there. It is lovely & photographs very well. Plus, as I said, Holly is gorgeous. ๐
The limo ride to Stambaugh Auditorium for the ceremony was fun.
Judy’s Flower Basket did a wonderful job with the bouquets for the bride & bridesmaids and centerpieces at the reception venue.
John looked dapper in his tux.
Seriously, John & Holly are kind, generous, God-loving people & we’re so glad we were blessed enough to meet them.
John’s grandma surely loves her grandson.
The emotion of the day & the utter joy she was feeling had Holly a little choked up before the ceremony.
Josh caught the guys in a moment of quiet prayer just before the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Anne Kilcawley Christman Memorial Hall.
John was absolutely blown away seeing Holly as a bride:
Don’t you just love that asymmetrical sparkly strap detail on Holly’s gown? She bought the gown at Toula’s Bridal & Toula herself added the strap detail because Holly loves sleek and asymmetrical designs. ๐
John’s groomsman, Paul, sang & played a song he had written; personal touches like that make wedding ceremonies so much more sentimental & special. The song was stunningly beautiful.
They’re pretty happy to be husband and wife!
The ring bearer is killin’ me here!
If you’re going to have a bubble exit, this is THE way to do it! These guests knew what they were doing in the bubble department! ๐
Stambaugh is such a classic location to have wedding photographs taken. Even if your ceremony is not there, you can reserve the space. It’s a great idea as a rain back-up plan.
What a great lookin’ bridal party.
We stopped off outside the Maronite Center for a few photos prior to the reception.
Might I just say that their tiffany blue color scheme was to die for?! Teal is my fav & has been since I was little. I loved everything about these wedding details.
The groom’s cake is above. John coaches basketball so it fit him well!
Their grand entrance to the reception as newlyweds:
Melissa’s speech was sweet, funny, and heartfelt. I loved the memories she shared from growing up with Holly as her older sister and how close they’ve grown as friends.
John’s best man spoke about how he and all of John’s friends were so glad that John met Holly because they’re so suited for one another. He said John will be a perfect husband and hopefully father one day.
Their first dance to “God Blessed the Broken Road” by Selah was beautiful.
Holly’s dance with her dad was quite emotional. Just from being around this family for the short time that Josh & I were for Melissa’s & Holly’s weddings, we can see the immense love and closeness between them.
John’s dance with his mother was beautiful, as well.
With that, the dance floor was open!
John’s grandma was all ready to catch the bouquet.
Holly & John, thank you again so much for choosing us to photograph your wedding day! We wish you a lifetime of love & the happiness you felt on your wedding day throughout your marriage!
