Shawn & Tad Wedding | The Barn | Salem, OH Wedding Photography

Shawn’s & Tad’s wedding day was sunny, full of fun, emotional, and beautiful. The way they smiled at each other during their first look evidenced pure joy. Their simple wedding ceremony in an elegantly decorated, rustic barn was perfect. The packed dance floor full of smiling and laughing people during their wedding reception was energetic & fabulously fun. But I’m getting a bit ahead of myself.  🙂

I met Shawn and her bridesmaids at Shawn’s & Tad’s home in Salem, Ohio. All of the girls helped Shawn into her gorgeous lace-up, halter neckline wedding dress. Her hair and make-up were flawless.

She got a little help from her sister while her friend tightened up the lace in the back. Brace yourself! 🙂

Garrett wasn’t too keen on those suspenders (especially since he had just awoken from his nap), but gosh was he absolutely adorable!
While I was with the bride & her bridesmaids, Josh was with the groom & his groomsmen.
I’m loving the color scheme here. Very modern & fresh!
Then it was time for Tad’s & Shawn’s first look. They got to see each other before the wedding, share their own special moment, and get bridal party photos & some family photos finished prior to their wedding ceremony.

I heard him tell her, “You look so beautiful.” ♥

Bartell’s Cupcakery prepared this gorgeous, scrumptious cake.
The sweets table was epic.

They were married by Judge Robb at The Barn in Salem, Ohio. It was a pretty, rustic venue. The mason jars, wood accents, paper lanterns, and beautiful pops of color from the orange & green table centerpieces all worked together to create a charming, elegant ambiance.



The floral arrangements & bouquets were crafted by Tad’s mother. They were fresh & punchy; I loved them!




This was a cute moment. Shawn was showing her grandma her “something borrowed,” which was from her grandma. 🙂

Sabrina’s toast was full of laughs & tears. I heard Shawn’s other sister say, “Our family is so emotional.” 😉


Zack’s toast was short & to the point.
